Cardinals signed LSU S Craig Loston.
Loston (6-foot 5/8, 217) made 24 starts for Les Miles' Tigers, earning second-team All-SEC as both a junior and senior. He recorded seven career interceptions and eight tackles for loss. An excellent college player but limited athlete, Loston managed a 4.65 forty at the Combine with a 32 1/2-inch vertical and 9-foot-11 broad jump. Range restrictions will pigeonhole Loston as a box safety and special teamer, but he could be quite good in those roles as a James Ihedigbo-type player. He lands in Arizona, where former teammate Tyrann Mathieu is rehabbing a torn ACL. May 11 - 2:52 PM

LSU head coach Les Miles told reporters senior S Craig Loston is healthy and will play against Alabama.

Loston has dealt with injuries this season, but his bruising style will be needed when attacking down hill against the Crimson TIde's running game. LSU doesn't have the same level of talent as in recent years, but they have a shot to dethrone the top team in the country.

LSU senior S Craig Loston suffered a leg injury against UAB and left the game.

No details were given on the injury, but the blowout win likely played a part in Loston missing time. The LSU safety is one of the the top senior prospects at the position. The Tigers face Kent State this Saturday.

NFL.com's Gil Brandt ranks LSU's Craig Loston as the top senior S heading into the 2013 season.

Florida State's Lamarcus Joyner, Seminole safety Terrence Brooks, Ohio State's Christian Bryant, and BYU's Daniel Sorensen round out the top five. "Loston -- who sports a 40-yard dash time of 4.55 seconds -- has the necessary cover skills and toughness for the position," Brandt writes. We are a bit surprised that UNC's Tre Boston didn't make the list.

Scouts Inc.'s Kevin Weidl calls LSU senior S Craig Loston an "enforcing tone setter."

Weidl notes Alabama safety Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix is more instinctive and fluid than Loston, but the LSU senior defensive leader is intriguing nonetheless. Loston is explosive in close areas but needs to stay healthy. We doubt he is selected as high as former teammate Eric Reid.
