Colts signed Georgia OLB Sterling Bailey.
Bailey (6'4/285) made 20 starts for the Bulldogs, managing four career tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. A non-sudden, plodding mover, Bailey best projects as an early-down run defender who must leave the field on passing downs. He ran 5.23 at the Combine with a 9-foot-3 broad jump. Turning 24 early in his rookie season, Bailey is an over-aged role-player prospect with a low ceiling. May 4 - 1:50 PM

Georgia DE Sterling Bailey met with New England Patriots HC Bill Belichick and DC Matt Patricia after last week's Pro Day workout, reports TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.

At the event, Bailey finished just a shade above five seconds in the forty and had a vertical jump of 30.5 inches. Every year you hear about Combine snubs. Well, naturally there are also head scratchers among the invite list. Bailey was one this year. His lackluster collegiate career ended with 46 tackles, two TFL and a sack last year. But Bailey retains the shine and gifts of his top-recruit billing coming out of high school. That the Pats are sniffing around indicates that the NFL may think they can unlock tools Mark Richt couldn't.

Georgia DE Sterling Bailey received a combine invite despite a lackluster collegiate showing.

Bailey was an All-World recruit, a top-10 defensive end recruit out of high school. He was a reliable player and was respected in the locker room (he won the Coaches' Leadership Award), but the production never lived up to the hype. Bailey posted 34 tackles and a sack as a redshirt sophomore, 27 stops and a half-sack in 2014 and 46 tackles, two TFL and a sack last year.

Georgia redshirt sophomore DE Sterling Bailey is questionable for the Georgia Tech game with a sprained ankle.

Georgia coach Mark Richt said Bailey's availability will be determined by what he's capable of doing this week in practice. "We think he'll be able to play," Richt said after Georgia's win on Saturday against Kentucky. "We're pretty sure. We're not 100 percent."

Georgia is reportedly impressed with redshirt sophomore DE Sterling Bailey's development this offseason.

CBS Sports' Jeremy Fowler calls Bailey an "up-and-coming, potential impact player." He only played in three games last season and redshirted in 2011. The Bulldogs lost a huge portion of their front seven, so Bailey should have plenty of opportunities to make a statement.
