Jets selected Utah OLB Trevor Reilly with the No. 235 overall pick in the 214 NFL draft.
Reilly (6-foot-4 3/4, 245) was a 32-game starter for the Utes, tallying 20 career sacks, 37 tackles for loss, and eight forced fumbles. Already 26 years old after a two-year LDS mission, Reilly benefited statistically from dominating 20- and 21-year-olds in the Pac 12, and is an average athlete with 4.66 speed, a 30 1/2-inch vertical, and 9-foot-9 broad jump. Reilly was a productive college pass rusher who's unlikely to make much NFL noise. May 10 - 6:14 PM

Utah senior edge rusher Trevor Reilly recently underwent a knee scope, according to CBS Sports' Rob Rang.

"The surgery took place in early January and was described as a relatively minor arthroscopic procedure to clean out his meniscus," Rang explained, noting it likely kept the pass rusher out of the Senior Bowl. "It did take place on the same knee (right) which Reilly had previously undergone surgery to repair a torn ACL." Reilly played through the ACL injury as a junior. Some have ranked Reilly as a top-50 player, but we are not among them.

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said redshirt senior LB Trevor Reilly "is a lot like" former Utes linebackers currently in the NFL.

"That is what suits him best and that is how we have used him in that capacity," Whittingham said Tuesday on the Pac-12 teleconference. "We've had several guys here, Koa Misi and Paul Kruger, that have done that same thing for us and are flourishing in the NFL. He is a lot like those guys and I think that would probably be, in my estimation, a great situation for him." Reilly, ranked 10th on Gil Brandt's list of the nation's top 100 seniors, has collected 86 tackles, 15 TFL and 8.5 sacks this season.

NFL.com's Gil Brandt listed Utah pass rusher Trevor Reilly as the No. 13 senior prospect heading into the 2013 season.

"Reilly (6-4 1/2, 244) moved from safety to defensive end for the Utes, but projects as an outside linebacker in the NFL," Brandt writes. "Reilly was Utah's leading tackler in 2012 and also had 4.5 sacks. He is very athletic with good speed, having posted a 40 time of 4.65 seconds." The senior suffered from a prolonged knee injury during his junior year but is finally feeling healthy after undergoing major knee surgery.

Utah senior DE/LB Trevor Reilly is feeling healthy after a knee injury disrupted his junior season.

Reilly earned an All-Pac-12 honorable mention in 2012 despite the knee injury, and head coach Kyle Whittingham noted it was due to the pass rusher being a natural leader and good spokesman for the team. He led the school with 69 tackles and three forced fumbles, so Reilly hopes to improve on those totals after undergoing major knee surgery.
