The interviews TCU redshirt senior T Tayo Fabuluje conducted with teams at the East-West Shrine Game were "every bit as important to his draft stock as his ability to lock onto and steer opponent pass rushers during one-on-one pass-protection drills, which he did very well," wrote the Sporting News' Chris Kouffman.
This is because Fabuluje (pronounced "fab-BOO-loo-zhay") has been "red flagged" by scouts because he has neglected to lose "bad weight," which some take as a sign that he is lacking a work ethic. "Fabuluje carried himself well on the field overall," Kouffman wrote. "He moved far better than a 6-7, 359-pound person should be allowed to move. ... Fabuluje’s combination of size, build and athletic ability may produce a slightly higher grade from NFL scouts, provided they walk away from interviews convinced he is committed to football." College Football 24/7 writer Mike Huguenin reports that TCU redshirt senior T Tayo Fabuluje "almost certainly will be used on the right side in the NFL."

"Fabuluje (his last name is pronounced "fab-BOO-loo-zhay") is a road-grader in the running game and looks to have the necessary footwork to play on the right side in the NFL," wrote Huguenin. "In one-on-one drills with West linemen, Fabuluje buries guys once he gets into them." The analyst noted Fabuluje's unique path to the NFL draft: "Fabuluje was born in Nigeria and went to high school in the Dallas area. He signed with BYU out of high school but left after his freshman season. He started for TCU in 2012, missed the 2013 season for personal reasons, then started again this fall. Thus, he played just two seasons of college football and remains somewhat raw. But he definitely is a physical specimen and looks to have a big upside." TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline wrote during the season that NF scouts have "red flags" about the "bad weight" Fabuluje added in last off season but added that reviews "remain positive."

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline notes that scouts have "red flags" around the "bad weight" TCU redshirt senior T Tayo Fabuluje added in the off season.

"Scouts say Fabuluje added bad weight in the off season and looks poorly conditioned. I’ve been told they’ll also closely inspect the reasons that led to Fabuluje missing the entire 2013 season," Pauline writes. Pauline adds that the reviews on the 6-foot-7, 340-pound Fabuluje still "remain generally positive," and he still "intrigues scouts with his size, power and movement skill."

TCU redshirt senior T Tayo Fabuluje was "dominant" in Saturday's victory over Minnesota, writes TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.

"He’s an impressive looking specimen and easily controls defenders at the point of attack," Pauline wrote. "What stood out about his play was how Fabuluje adjusts or contorts then stops speed rushers as well as the way he knocks opponents from the action with violent hand punch. Fabuluje is a bit heavy footed and has some personality quirks teams must look into but when hitting on all cylinders he offers starting potential at the next level." Pauline graded the massive offensive lineman as a third- to fourth-round talent prior to last season.

Former TCU redshirt junior T Tayo Fabuluje has decided to transfer to BYU, the same school where he began his college career.

Fabuluje is a legitimate NFL prospect and was slated to start at right tackle for the Horned Frogs this season. However, the offensive lineman has had an odd college career, sitting out his first season at both BYU and TCU, so we are not sure if he will be eligible to play immediately for the Cougars.

TCU starting RT Tayo Fabuluje has left the team and cited personal reasons for the decision.

The massive offensive lineman started 12 games in 2012 after transferring from BYU prior to the 2011 season. Draft insider Tony Pauline graded Fabuluje as a third- to fourth-round talent. Sophomore Halapoulivaati Vaitai or senior James Dunbar will likely battle for the open spot.
