Cincinnati senior WR Mekale McKay caught six passes for 101 yards in Saturday's 49-38 win over Tulsa.
No touchdowns for McKay, but a nice yardage effort regardless. This was his second game of at least 100 yards receiving. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound senior's caught 20 passes for 418 yards and two touchdowns. After scoring eight times in 2014, it appears that he'll fall well short of that total this time around, barring a six-touchdown flurry over Cincy's last two contests. The Bearcats will close out the season with road dates against South Florida and East Carolina. Nov 15 - 8:11 PM

Cincinnati senior WR Mekale McKay's "savvy and smooth athleticism" have "scouts taking note," according to CBS Sports' Rob Rang.

On Thursday night, the 6-foot-6, 195-pound McKay showed off his athleticism against the Hurricanes, hauling in 4 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. The Cincinnati prospect pulled off a couple circus catches on the night, but showed off his leaping ability to go up and get the ball at it's highest point in the endzone, out-jumping two hurricane cornerbacks for a touchdown.

The Cincinnati Enquirer's Tom Groeschen is "hearing" Cincinnati senior WR Mekale McKay will play versus Memphis on Thursday.

McKay has an unspecified injury that held him out of Saturday's affair against Miami (OH). We've only been given indications that he'll be green-lighted for this one. If he is, DFS owners will want to take him at a cheaper price point because the Bearcats will lean on him regardless of whether or not Gunner Kiel plays. The 6-foot-6, 195-pounder is hard to cover and remains Cincy's premier big-play threat.

NFL Media draft analyst Chad Reuter is a big fan of Cincinnati receivers Mekale McKay and Chris Moore.

"[McKay] has a 6-6, 195-pound frame that is easy to notice, and has averaged more than 20 yards a catch in his two years with the Bearcats after starting 10 games as a freshman in the SEC," Reuter wrote. But McKay isn't the only dangerous target Gunner Kiel has to throw to this fall. "He doesn't have McKay's size (6-1, 190), but his explosiveness after the catch (18.1 yards per reception, 19 TDs in career) will put him on teams' radars," Reuter wrote.

Former Arkansas sophomore WR Mekale McKay will transfer to Cincinnati.

McKay was recently released from his scholarship by Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema and quickly chose his next destination. We expect the former Razorback to sit out the season to satisfy NCAA regulations. McKay was second on the team in receiving yards in 2012, with 312 yards on 21 receptions.

Arkansas sophomore WR Mekale McKay is considering transferring to another program.

"He's exploring some options," Bielema said. "He and I had a conversation a week ago where he wanted to look at different options that could be available to him." The sophomore started 10 games last year and registered 317 yards and two touchdowns on 21 catches. "I think during transition there's going to be certain guys that really kind of just jump in and go full speed ahead, and there's going to be others that maybe, it just isn't the same," Bielema added.
