CBS Sports' Dane Brugler lists Florida's Marcus Roberson as the top CB in the draft.
Roberson checks in at No. 16 overall on Brugler's board. "A fearless, confident cover corner, Roberson battled through several injuries in 2013, most notably a left knee issue," Brugler writes. "But when healthy, he has the footwork, movement skills and competitive nature to blanket receivers along with the instincts to make plays on the ball." Roberson was a highly touted corner heading into the season, but the combination of injuries and suspensions allowed other prospects to pass him in the national eye. Jan 28 - 11:17 AM

Florida junior CB Marcus Roberson will declare for the NFL, according to beat writer Pat Dooley.

The official announcement is expected to come later today. It is an expected move for a talented defensive back, as Roberson missed multiple games due to a suspension and injuries. He is more technically sound than teammate Loucheiz Purifoy at this point in their careers.

Florida junior CB Marcus Roberson has been suspended for Saturday's game against South Carolina.

Head coach Will Muschamp cited a violation of team rules for Roberson's suspension. This means Florida's top two corner prospects, Roberson and Loucheiz Purifoy, have been suspended at some point this season. We expect both to enter the draft.

Florida head coach Will Muschamp still believes junior CB Marcus Roberson will play against LSU.

Roberson missed his third game in a row against Arkansas with a knee injury. "Muschamp said throughout the past week he thought Roberson would play," beat writer Jason Lieser writes. "He said the same prior to each of the previous two games. He still thinks Roberson will be ready when the Gators visit LSU on Saturday."

Florida junior CB Marcus Roberson is questionable for Saturday's game against LSU with a knee injury.

Roberson has been dealing with the knee issue for some time now, but the Gators have compensated for his absence thanks to tremendous depth at the position. Loucheiz Purifoy, Jaylen Watkins, and freshman Vernon Hargreaves are all talented, but Roberson would be welcomed back in a game that will test their vertical coverage skills. Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham consistently win at the catch point downfield.

Florida coach Will Muschamp announced that junior CB Marcus Roberson (knee) is probable to play on Saturday against Arkansas.

That sounds promising, but keep in mind that Roberson had also been considered "probable" before missing the past two games against Tennessee and Kentucky. The junior NFL prospect originally suffered the injury during the second half of the Miami game on September 7 and hasn't played since.

Florida junior CB Marcus Roberson will not play against Tennessee due to a knee injury.

Roberson was considered probable for this contest. Loucheiz Purifoy has drawn headlines, but we consider Roberson the better corner right night. Jaylen Watkins has alternated between safety and corner, so check on where he is lining up versus the Vols.

Florida junior CB Marcus Roberson will be healthy enough to play against Tennessee on September 21.

The Gators are off this week, but Roberson will likely be healthy enough to practice. He suffered a knee injury against Miami and exited during the second half. Obviously our hearts always skip a beat when a prospect like Roberson goes down with a knee issue, but expect him to return to top level form soon.

Florida junior CB Marcus Roberson will be sidelined for the remainder of the game against Miami with a knee injury.

Roberson had posted a solid game while on the field, displaying nice positioning to box out Cane receivers along the sideline. Loucheiz Purifoy gets a ton of attention in the Gators' secondary, and deservedly so, but Roberson is a legitimate prospect too.

Former NFL GM Phil Savage tweeted Florida might have the top CB group in the country.

Savage specifically highlighted Jaylen Watkins, Loucheiz Purifoy, Marcus Roberson and Vernon Hargraves. Purifoy has received the most national attention from evaluators, but don't sleep on Roberson becoming a better prospect. Every quarterback with NFL intentions will be tested against this secondary.
