NFL Media analyst Charles Davis said during the Shrine Game broadcast that he thought LSU senior DE Jermauria Rasco had "a very nice week."
Davis added that East coaches praised Rasco's attention to detail. The analyst also passed along an interesting anecdote: Rasco asked coaches if he could practice some at linebacker since he could be ticketed there in the NFL. TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline believes Rasco improved his draft stock due to a big 2014. "Fact is I was never very high on Rasco entering the season and neither were NFL scouts, who expected him to be a mini-camp casualty," he wrote. "But give credit where its’ due as the senior has played consistently productive football this season." Jan 18 - 7:05 PM

LSU senior DE Jermauria Rasco accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game.

Rasco leads the Tigers with four sacks one year after ranking first on the squad with the same amount. TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline wrote earlier this week that Rasco has improved his draft stock in 2014. "Fact is I was never very high on Rasco entering the season and neither were NFL scouts, who expected him to be a mini-camp casualty," Pauline wrote. "But give credit where its’ due as the senior has played consistently productive football this season." The analyst concluded: "Rasco does not possesses the upside of teammate Danielle Hunter who holds a 2nd/3rd round grade, but at the same time he does not disappear for stretches as the junior does."

LSU senior DE Jermauria Rasco has improved his draft stock in 2014, according to TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.

"Fact is I was never very high on Rasco entering the season and neither were NFL scouts, who expected him to be a mini-camp casualty," Pauline wrote. "But give credit where its’ due as the senior has played consistently productive football this season." Rasco led the Tigers with four sacks last year and had 56 tackles, including 6.5 for loss. After posting eight tackles and a sack versus Texas A&M on Thursday, Rasco once again finished atop the team leader board with four sacks. "Rasco does not possesses the upside of teammate Danielle Hunter who holds a 2nd/3rd round grade, but at the same time he does not disappear for stretches as the junior does," Pauline wrote.

CBS Sports' Rob Rang notes that LSU senior DE Jermauria Rasco is more polished than star teammate Danielle Hunter.

Rasco led the Tigers with four sacks last year and had 56 tackles, including 6.5 for loss. "Rasco doesn't possess the rare blend of length and fluidity that makes his teammate, Hunter, such an intriguing talent but he's a more polished player, at this time," Rang wrote. "He has good initial quickness and balance, incorporates a nice spin (and swim) move into his pass rush and has the powerful core to hold up in run support. Like Hunter, Rasco has 'greasy knees' which allow him to break down against quick ball-carriers in the open field and explode laterally in either direction to corral them."

LSU junior Jermauria Rasco hopes to fill the DE void this season for the Tigers.

LSU lost Barkevious Mingo, LaVar Edwards, and Sam Montgomery to the NFL last April, so obviously there are opportunities for new prospects to take advantage of. "I'm working on a handful of my moves, my spin move, my hands a lot and for sure my footwork," said Rasco. "I'm trying to master those right now and make sure I'm on top of it when the season starts." Rasco is limited right now after undergoing shoulder surgery last April.
