Seahawks selected Michigan WR Amara Darboh with the No. 106 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft
Darboh (6’2/214) made 28 starts at Michigan, compiling a career receiving line of 151/2,062/14 (13.7 YPR) and earning second-team All-Big Ten as a fifth-year senior. While Darboh offers above-average size and long arms (32 5/8"), his game lacks an explosive element despite 4.45 timed speed, and he showed a tendency to let passes into his body on college tape, failing to secure them with his hands. A solid college player lacking any standout traits, Darboh’s NFL ceiling is likely in the Terrance Williams range. Apr 28 - 11:43 PM

Pro Football Focus compared Michigan WR Amara Darboh to Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell.

"Like LaFell, there’s no one area in which Darboh excels, but he can be a productive complementary receiver," notes the PFF analysis team, "particularly in a vertical passing attack that gives him a chance to make plays down the field." Another comp for the 6-foot-2, 214-pounder, courtesy of NFL Media's Lance Zierlein -- Mohamed Sanu. Darboh caught 52 passes for 826 yards and seven touchdowns this past season. The potential Day 2 selection also graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 9 wideout in blocking among all NCAA receivers for the 2016 campaign.

An NFC executive believes Michigan WR Amara Darboh "will be a pretty good pro."

"He's bigger and faster than you think. Practices hard and is a good athlete," the exec said. "Harbaugh demands some toughness from his receivers, too." NFL.com's Lance Zierlein compares Darboh to Mohamed Sanu. "He lacks the quickness and hands to make a living underneath, but has the physical traits and willingness to help as a blocker that could get teams to bite on the second day of the draft (Rounds 2-3)," Zierlein wrote. "Scheme fit could determine whether he becomes a WR2 or just a guy fighting for snaps off the bench." According to Mock Draftable, the 6-foot-2, 214-pound Darboh's closest comp based on Combine testing is DeVante Parker.

Michigan senior WR Amara Darboh accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

Darboh is an example of a player whose NFL future is not necessarily played out in his collegiate statistics. The 6-foot-2, 211-pound senior's receiving line in 2016 (52-826-7) was relatively modest, but much of that can be attributed to the fact that Michigan's offense just doesn't cater to the passing game. In early November, NFL Media draft analyst Chad Reuter wrote that Darboh could develop into a No. 2 wideout at the NFL level due to his route versatility, his speed and his size.

NFL Media Draft analyst Chad Reuter believes Michigan senior WR Amara Darboh "has the size and speed to be effective on short, intermediate, and deep throws, making him a potential WR2 at the next level."

"Darboh proved to NFL scouts in the Wolverines' win over rival Michigan State that the WR talent well hasn't run dry in Ann Arbor," Reuter wrote. "The Iowa native made a couple of spectacular one-handed catches, one on a high pass to the sideline and another while heading down the left sideline with a cornerback in his hip pocket." The 6-foot-2, 211-pounder caught eight balls for a career-high 165 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's win over Sparty. He boasts a 38-664-5 line through eight games.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline says Michigan senior WR Amara Darboh has "elevated his game and is turning his tremendous athleticism into on the field production."

Darboh was on our favorite correspondent's mind after snagging eight passes for a career-high 165 yards and a touchdown in win over Michigan State on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 211-pounder boasts a 38-664-5 line through eight games.

Michigan senior WR Amara Darboh caught eight passes for a career-high 165 yards and a touchdown in a 32-23 win over Michigan State on Saturday.

As a point of comparison in considering each team's respective passing offense, Michigan State as a team didn't complete a single pass in the second or third quarters. The 6-foot-2, 211-pound Darboh has a 38-664-5 line through eight games. The Wolverines welcome Maryland to town next Saturday.

Michigan senior WR Amara Darboh caught six passes for 87 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 14-7 win over Wisconsin.

On an offense-optional afternoon, Darboh led the Wolverines in receiving with his 87 yards. The game was knotted at 7-7 midway through the fourth quarter, but QB Wilton Speight snapped that tie with his 46-yard touchdown pass to the 6-foot-2, 211-pound Darboh with 8:04 remaining in the contest. For the season as a whole, the wideout has logged just two games of more than 55 yards receiving. There is no true fantasy upside here.

Michigan senior WR Amara Darboh caught seven passes for 68 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 28-16 victory over Penn State.

DFS owners will want to reconsider Michigan's passing options in a new light after the change the offense has undergone in recent weeks. The coaching staff is growing more confident in Jake Rudock (38 passes today) and the receivers are benefitting in kind. Darboh, who recorded 36 receptions for 473 yards and two touchdowns last year, is up to 52 catches for 635 yards and five scores.

Michigan senior WR Amara Darboh caught four passes for 57 yards and a touchdown in the school's 31-0 win over BYU.

Darboh produced the highlight of the day, a one handed spinning catch to convert a 3rd & 5, which you can see in the link below. Darboh has emerged as the school's top wide receiver and is putting himself into the draft discussion.

Michigan redshirt junior WR Amara Darboh is expected to take over Devin Funchess' role as go-to receiver.

"Darboh should be able to handle that role; the concern for the Wolverines is figuring out which players will serve as the complementary receivers," wrote NFL Media's Mike Huguenin. Darboh recorded 36 receptions for 473 yards and two touchdowns last year. Funchess was the only other wide receiver who had more than 15 catches.

Michigan redshirt sophomore WR Amara Darboh caught nine passes for 107 yards and a touchdown in Michigan's 34-10 win over Indiana.

Darboh's not a draft prospect, but it was a nice game and you can only highlight so many of those for Michigan. Darboh missed all of the 2013 season with a foot injury. This year, he has 312 receiving yards and two touchdowns while acting as a secondary receiver in the offense to star prospect Devin Funchess.

Michigan redshirt sophomore WR Amara Darboh hauled in six passes for 88 yards and a touchdown in Michigan's 34-10 win over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.

With junior receiver Devin Funchess on the sidelines dealing with a leg injury, the Wolverines relied on the 6-foot-2, 212 pound Darboh to step up and make plays. The Wolverine's prospect went down early in 2013 with a foot injury that forced him to miss most of last season. Funchess’ status for next weekend against Utah is still up in the air, but Darboh should be expected to step up again in Funchess' absence.

Michigan starting sophomore WR Amara Darboh will miss the season with a foot injury.

This is not good news for starting junior quarterback Devin Gardner. Darboh did not record a catch in the four games he played at wide receiver, but the sophomore was expected to make a bigger impact this season. Jeremy Gallong remains the team's top receiver, but don't sleep on sophomore tight end Devin Funchess.
