The NCAA officially announced Texas JUCO transfer T Desmond Harrison can participate in game action.
Harrison resumed practicing on Wednesday, but his game availability was not known at the time. He is a full go for the 2013 season. Harrison was once considered a likely candidate for the starting left tackle job, but the time he missed has dropped him on the depth chart. "I'm excited to see him play," Texas running back Joe Bergeron said Monday. "That's one very large person. I just keep telling him, 'I can't wait until you get here. I have mad love for you.' Date:

Texas JUCO T transfer Desmond Harrison has been cleared to practice.

This, however, does not mean he has been cleared to play in actual games. Harrison transferred to Texas and was expected to compete for the starting left tackle job, but BYU, where Harrison initially signed out of high school, invalidated a credit from an online course the offensive lineman completed. Texas appears to be unsure if Harrison will play this season.
