Indiana redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow completed 32-of-60 passes for 373 yards with three touchdowns and a pick in a 31-24 loss to Purdue on Saturday.
The loss means Indiana will not be going bowling. He wasn't very accurate against the Boilermakers, but he was able to make big plays with his arm, and found his talented receiving core for three receivers. It just wasn't enough as the Hoosiers weren't able to stop the Purdue rushing attack at all. It's possible Lagow will get a look from teams as late-UDFA prospect who believe in his arm. Date:

Indiana redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow completed 17 of 28 attempts for 236 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the school's 41-0 win over Rutgers.

There's not much more to say, as Indiana totally dominated Rutgers. This is the fourth straight game of two passing touchdowns for Lagow.
Nov 18 - 5:19 PM

Indiana head coach Tom Allen confirmed that redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow will start Saturday against Rutgers.

Not only that, but Allen stated, with regards to Lagow starting, that "that isn't gonna change." Lagow has thrown for 1,327 yards and a 10/6 TD/INT ratio. Freshman QB Peyton Ramsey remains out, but is improving, Allen said.
Nov 13 - 5:22 PM

Indiana redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow completed 32 of his 38 pass attempts for 289 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 24-14 win at Illinois.

The yardage total was Lagow's most since the opening game loss against Ohio State, and he has thrown at least two touchdowns in a season-high three straight outings. The big, classic pocket passer is playing his best football of the season as he tries desperately to get his team eligible for a bowl game.
Nov 11 - 4:14 PM

Indiana redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow is likely to start Saturday's game against Illinois.

Like last week, it looks like Lagow will get the start and then share snaps with Peyton Ramsey. The pair have disparate skill sets, with Lagow the big, classic pocket passer and the dual-threat Ramsey a threat to run.
Nov 11 - 11:56 AM

Though he remains the starter, Indiana offensive coordinator Mike DeBord intends to rotate redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow with Peyton Ramsey in games.

Ramsey soundly outplayed Lagow in Saturday's win over Virginia, throwing for two touchdowns and running for a third off the bench. "I think it’s almost a game day feel as in what is the defense giving you?" DeBord said. "It’s what do you feel like you need to do?" DeBord has the luxury of having two quarterbacks with disparate skill sets. He intends to attack defensive weaknesses by leveraging each quarterback's specific strengths. Lagow is a big, classic pocket passer with a strong arm, while the dual-threat Ramsey is a threat to run the ball.
Sep 20 - 1:35 PM

Indiana redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow was listed at the top of the depth chart for Saturday's game against FIU.

Lagow was benched in week two against Virginia after competing just 3-for-10 passes for 24 yards and a pick against the Cavaliers. Backup quarterback Peyton Ramsey came in and played well, but it appears that Lagow will remain the Hoosiers signal-caller -- at least to start the game.
Sep 11 - 8:55 PM

Indiana redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow was replaced by redshirt freshman QB Peyton Ramsey in the first half of Saturday's game against Virginia.

Lagow was not playing well at the time Ramsey entered the game, but it is unclear if he was replaced due to mere ineffectiveness or due to injury. If there is an injury in the mix, here, we will pass along updates as they become available.
Sep 9 - 4:56 PM

Indiana redshirt senior QB Richard Lagow completed 40-of-65 passes for 410 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Thursday's 49-21 loss to Ohio State.

Lagow put a legitimate scare into the Buckeyes for a good portion of Thursday night's contest, showing no fear in launching the ball downfield. The Hoosiers led 14-13 at the half before Ohio State's talent advantage finally came through after halftime. This was Lagow's second 400-yard passing performance with the Hoosiers. By-and-large, it was a sterling showing in an incredibly trying match-up. Indiana will presumably be able to breathe easier against Virginia a week from Saturday.
Sep 1 - 12:12 AM

Indiana redshirt junior QB Richard Lagow completed 28-of-40 passes for 389 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Saturday's 33-27 win over Rutgers.

Lagow had not thrown a touchdown pass in either of his past two games, but uncorked a trio against Rutgers -- his first three-touchdown performance since September 24. While the touchdowns have not been flowing like water for the 6-foot-6, 240-pounder, the interceptions have been coming at a pretty rapid clip of late. After opening the season with two pick-free performances, he has tossed 13 in his last seven games. That includes four showings with at least two interceptions. For the season as a whole, he holds a just-treading-water 15/13 TD/INT ratio.

Indiana redshirt junior QB Richard Lagow went 19-for-32 for 196 yards, a score and two picks in Saturday's five-point loss to Nebraska.

Zander Diamont briefly replaced an ineffective Lagow at the end of the first half, but Lagow was back under center after halftime. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Lagow has been up-and-down in his first campaign as starter, posting a 12/9 TD/INT rate during Indiana's 3-3 start.

Indiana named redshirt junior QB Richard Lagow the starter for 2016.

Lagow initially signed with UConn as part of the 2013 class, but transferred to Oklahoma State before the start of that season. He would take a redshirt in 2013 before bouncing over to Cisco Junior College for the past two seasons. Then onward to Indiana. The 6-foot-5, 205-pounder beat out junior gunslinger Zander Diamont for the right to open as Indiana's starter. The ESPN JC50 ranked him as the No. 49 overall JUCO prospect in the 2016 class. Playing with one of the best receiving corps in the Big Ten, Lagow has a chance to put up legitimate fantasy numbers now that he has secured the starting gig.

Incoming Indiana JUCO transfer QB Richard Lagow has a chance to win the starting job in his first year on campus.

Lagow, the No. 49 player on the ESPN JC50, is hoping his fourth collegiate stop is the charm. He began at UConn, transferred to Oklahoma State, spent two years at Cisco Junior College and is now back in the sport's highest division, where he hopes to replace Nate Sudfeld. Lagow (6-foot-6, 235 pounds) certainly looks the part and plays a similar game, with a big arm and a willingness to test coverage. Lagow will battle Danny Cameron, Zander Diamont and Austin King to become Sudfeld's heir beginning this spring. Lagow, rated a three-star by Scout and the No. 7 junior college quarterback in the country, has two years of eligibility left.

UConn freshman QB Richard Lagow has transferred to Oklahoma State.

Lagow tweeted he wants to be closer to his family in Plano, Texas, but he will almost certainly have to sit out this season to satisfy NCAA regulations. Neither school has confirmed the move, but Lagow has multiple times on social media. The quarterback also mentioned the girth of quarterbacks at UConn played a role in his decision.
