Titans signed Western Kentucky RB Antonio Andrews.
Andrews (5-foot-10 1/8, 225) piled up 571 carries over his final two college seasons en route to 3,414 yards (5.98 YPC) and 30 all-purpose touchdowns. He's a functional receiver, amassing 85 receptions. A decisive power back without a second gear (4.82 forty) or much short-area burst (8'10" broad jump), Andrews has some poor man's Alfred Morris to him. He lacks Morris' jump-cut ability, but is willing to run violently inside the tackles. Andrews' ceiling is likely a committee back and short-yardage pounder. May 11 - 2:24 PM

Western Kentucky senior RB Antonio Andrews accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

Andrews has rushed for 1,730 yards and 16 touchdowns in 12 games this season. The senior back, who ran for more than 100 yards in every contest this year except for the opener, is a talented runner who at times struggles with ball security.

Western Kentucky senior RB Antonio Andrews rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in the school's 21-17 win over Army.

Andrews added 30 receiving yards. He's a talented runner and could show well at a postseason all star game, but evaluators will question if Andrews has the necessary ball security to sustain success.

Western Kentucky senior RB Antonio Andrews rushed for 154 yards and one touchdown on 28 carries in a 37-20 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette.

He added another three catches for 31 yards. Andrews lacks a real second gear but he displays nice vision and likes to attack oncoming tacklers with a stiff arm or lowered shoulder. This gets him into trouble from time to time due to poor ball security, but evaluators will likely appreciate his production in recent years.

Former NFL LB and current Louisiana-Lafayette position coach James Willis believes Western Kentucky senior RB Antonio Andrews will play on Sundays.

"He's special. You will see him playing on Sundays," Willis said. "He's explosive. He's fast. He has great vision and balance. He's got everything an NFL program would love to have on their team." Andrews has great numbers, but he has to hold on to the football in order to sustain success.

Western Kentucky senior RB Antonio Andrews took 27 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown in a 31-10 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

The running back also took one catch for 22 yards. We like Andrews when everything goes according to plan, as he shows nice running skills at multiple levels. However, Andrews has ball security issues, which we have seen to be a terrible trait to have in the NFL. It lands talented runners on the bench very quickly.

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler spoke with one NFL scout who said his team would not draft Western Kentucky senior RB Antonio Andrews because of his ball security issues.

"I like him, but no chance we draft him, can't hold onto the football. Can't trust him," the scout admitted. This is very similar to what happened with section favorite Dennis Johnson last year, and it makes sense when factoring in how often coaches bench a running back immediately after a fumble. Andrews has already fumbled twice this season, bringing his career total to 11.
