Rams selected Ohio State DB Christian Bryant with the No. 241 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Pint-sized Bryant (5'9/198) missed almost his entire senior year with a fractured ankle. He entered the year as a fairly highly touted prospect, but the injury explains his "fall" into the depths of round seven. A nickel back/safety, Bryant has drawn comparisons to ex-Eagles and current Vikings S Kurt Coleman, who has been a productive special teamer in the pros. May 10 - 6:32 PM

CBS Sports' Dane Brugler still remains a "big fan" of Ohio State senior S Christian Bryant.

"NFL prospect to remember for draft weekend: Ohio State DB Christian Bryant. Was a big fan of his over the summer, missed most of 2013 with injury," Brugler tweeted. Unfortunately for Bryant, he only played in five games last year before breaking his ankle on September 27th. Before the injury, Bryant had 22 tackles and one interception for the season. In his career at OSU, he totaled 171 tackles, two interceptions, three forced fumbles with one fumble recovery, and 23 pass break-ups. Bryant has a shot to be drafted in the 7th round or could be a potential undrafted free agent.

Ohio State senior S Christian Bryant will miss the remainder of the season with a broken ankle.

Bryant is an NFL prospect after starting 22 of 31 games prior to the season. He has already undergone surgery but is not eligible for a medical redshirt tag. The recovery time is expected to be around three months, so Bryant should be healthy for the Combine and pro day circuit. Sophomore Ron Tanner will likely replace Bryant in the starting lineup.
