Missouri OL Andy Bauer was forced to retire due to a hip injury.
"Despite his dedication and commitment to post-surgical and sport specific rehabilitation over a long period of time, Andy was unable to return to his previous level of football-related activity," head athletics trainer Rex Sharp said in a statement. "In the interest of Andy’s overall health and welfare, and to help ensure his acadmic success, the athletic health care staff, football staff, Andy and his family have decided that Andy will retire from football." Bauer, a former four-star recruit who was ESPN's No. 84 overall prospect coming out of high school in 2014, never played a down in college due to health. Mar 12 - 7:32 PM

High school offensive tackle Andy Bauer, the No. 84 ranked prospect in the ESPN 300, recommitted to Missouri on Monday.

Bauer originally committed to the Tigers during his sophomore year. He de-committed last year and pledged to Ole Miss, but on Monday decided that he would flip back. "This was a very tough decision and one that was not taken lightly," Bauer said in a statement. "My relationships with Coach Gary Pinkel, Coach Josh Henson, Coach Cornell Ford, Coach Bruce Walker, Coach Alex Grinch and the rest of the staff at Mizzou have me very excited about my future there." Bauer is the first member of the ESPN 300 that has committed to Missouri.
