TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline wants to see how UCF redshirt junior WR Breshad Perriman performs without Blake Bortles before making a final assessment on him.
"Perriman is the team’s top prospect and while some rate the junior as a middle round choice, I want to see how he responds with Blake Bortles no longer throwing him the ball," Pauline wrote. The 6-foot-2, 209-pounder was Bortles' favorite deep-ball receiver and ranked near the top of the leader boards with a 20.8 yards per catch average (38 catches for 811 receiving yards) last year. Pauline grades Perriman as a preseason Round 5 prospect. Aug 6 - 6:09 PM

UCF junior WR Breshad Perriman "uses his size and athleticism well," according to CBS Sports' Dane Brugler.

The 6-foot-2, 209-pound Perriman was Blake Bortles' favorite deep-ball receiver in 2013 and ranked near the top of the leader boards with a 20.8 yards per catch average. "He needs to be more reliable as a hands-catcher and eliminate the drops, but he uses his size and athleticism well," Brugler wrote. Perriman finished with 38 catches and 811 receiving yards in 2013, numbers he'll top if he can be more consistent this fall.

UCF sophomore WR Breshad Perriman (concussion) is expected to be available for Saturday's game against Temple.

Perriman, who leads the team with 567 receiving yards, was hit high going across the middle on Saturday night against Houston and left the field on a stretcher. "I would assume he'd be back this weekend," Knights head coach George O'Leary said. "Anytime you have a neck [or] head injury, it's precautionary and they did what they had to get done to make sure it was nothing serious with him. ... He was on the field today and hopefully he'll be ready to go this week."
