Ravens selected Penn State G John Urschel with the No. 175 overall pick in the NFL draft.
Urschel (6-foot-3, 313) was a two-time first-team All-Big Ten guard on the field in Happy Valley and also shined off of it, graduating in less than three years with a 4.0 GPA in mathematics. He made 25 career starts, all at right guard. Urschel is an average athlete (5.31 forty, 29-inch vertical), but has good arm length (33") for the interior. Penn State senior G John Urschel accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game.

Sports Illustrated's Andy Staples nominated Urschel for the 2013 Sportsman of the Year award. "He'll probably play in the NFL before he moves on to a mathematics Ph.D. program," Staples wrote. Urschel earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics in three years and recently obtained a master's degree in the same subject.
