The Houston Texans will hire Penn State's Bill O'Brien as head coach, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortenson.
The hiring will be announced no later than Saturday. O'Brien, a Bill Belichick protégé, went 15-9 in two seasons at Penn State. He led the Nittany Lions to a pair of winning seasons coming off sanctions that included a bowl ban and relaxed transfer rules in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. Penn State will reportedly pursue Greg Schiano as O'Brien's replacement. Tue, Dec 31, 2013 10:29:00 PM
