Cowboys selected Oregon CB Terrance Mitchell with the No. 254 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Mitchell (5-foot-11, 192) made 38 starts for the Ducks, tallying seven interceptions, four forced fumbles, and three tackles for loss. He ran 4.63 at the Combine, but reportedly improved to 4.43 during a mid-April workout for the Colts and Raiders. Mitchell projects as off-zone corner with playmaking ability, though he has short arms (30 1/8") and very small hands (8 1/2"), which could limit him to slot work. Rotoworld's Josh Norris had Mitchell as a top-60 player due to his attacking style on short routes. May 10 - 7:06 PM

Oregon CB Terrance Mitchell (hamstring) posted a 4.43 second 40-yard dash in a workout for the Colts and Raiders.

Mitchell strained his hamstring at the Ducks' pro day last month, so this was good to see. "I’m feeling good right now," he said. "As of yesterday, I was upset because I wasn’t as recognized as other players at my position. I’ve been flying under the radar. It has kind of frustrated me because I play the game and I see all these other guys play when I’m sitting in my hotel room on Saturdays and … I never gave up a touchdown. That’s all I can say. I don’t know what they go off of, but even in Indianapolis on the field with the other players, I felt like I separated myself but it didn’t get noticed." Mitchell posted an ugly 4.63 forty at the combine. "That’s how it has been my whole life," Mitchell said. "I’ve always been the underdog. I guess it’s the role that I have to get used to playing and be ready to ball out when I have to." He'll likely go between late Day 2 and early Day 3.

Oregon CB Terrance Mitchell pulled his right hamstring and could not finish his workout at the school's pro day.

Mitchell was lost among the top defensive names at Oregon, but he has talent. There were times when he let receivers get vertical too easily, but Mitchell can be a solid corner in the third-round.

Oregon redshirt junior CB Terrance Mitchell "is making final preparations to enter the NFL Draft," according to Yahoo! Sports' Rand Getlin.

Mitchell later confirmed reports that he is entering May's draft. Ducks corner Ifo Ekpre-Olomu gets all the attention, but there is some buzz that Mitchell could be the better player. This might turn into a situation similar to Johnthan Banks/Darius Slay or Blidi Wreh-Wilson/Dwayne Gratz from last season.
