Oklahoma senior OG Adam Shead accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Shead has started every game over the past four seasons for the Sooners. He displays good core strength and can stonewall even the heftiest of interior defensive linemen. Shead also extends well and keeps defenders at a distance when asked to pass protect. Scouts will test Shead's instincts, football intelligence, and agility on the move. Oklahoma senior OG Adam Shead is "a noteworthy NFL prospect," according to CBS Sports' Dane Brugler.

The veteran has made 28 career starts at left guard for the Sooners. "He is battled tested and plays like a veteran with the base strength to rarely play on his heels," Brugler wrote. "Shead extends well with good arm length to keep rushers from his body, delivering pop at contact with good quickness in his movements from snap to finish." The analyst believes Shied's instincts must improve when he gets into the second level because he "gets sloppy on the move," but likes the prospect's balance and flexibility. "Shead needs to tweak some areas of his game," wrote Brugler, "but brings favorable traits to the field that should translate well to the NFL level."
