Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge posted three receptions for 54 yards in Thursday's 35-3 loss against Mississippi State.
Lodge entered the day with back-to-back 100-yard games while posting touchdowns in each of the past two. It wasn't in the cards for a big finish on Thursday, as the Rebels were humbled by their rivals from Starkville in this one. Many people laud the achievements and potential of fellow Ole Miss WR A.J. Brown, but Lodge has the potential to be a third- or fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and he might turn in quite the productive career. Nov 23 - 2:02 AM

Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge caught nine passes for 117 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 36-29 overtime loss to Vanderbilt.

Lodge (6'2/199) and A.J. Brown combined for 329 yards and two touchdowns tonight. The senior receiver doesn't get the love he probably deserves with Brown getting much of the attention, but Lodge now has 61 receptions, 823 yards, and six touchdowns this year as Brown's compliment. Lodge will end his Ole Miss regular season career with a game against Mississippi State next week.
Nov 18 - 12:22 AM

Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge registered six catches for 122 yards with a touchdown in a 38-24 loss on Saturday to Texas A&M.

Lodge picks up his first receiving touchdown in three games in this one, and his third overall. The senior wideout also goes over a hundred yards for the second time this season. A.J. Brown is the go-to in this offense -- and for good reason -- but Lodge is a more-than-adequate complement. Another strong game is likely next Saturday against Vanderbilt.
Nov 10 - 3:57 PM

Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge snagged 10 passes for 80 yards with a touchdown in a 37-33 victory over Arkansas on Saturday.

Lodge now has 19 catches in his last two games. The attention goes to A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf, but Lodge (6'2/199) has been a big part of the Ole Miss offense when he's been healthy enough to be on the field. He's now scored in back-to-back games, and his 35 catches are just six away from matching last year's total. Don't be surprised if he passes that total next week against Auburn.
Oct 13 - 11:14 PM

Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge caught nine passes for 179 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 70-21 win over UL-Monroe.

Lodge (6'2/199) was one of three (!) Ole Miss receivers to top 100 yards receiving in the contest. A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf likewise topped that statistical mark as the Rebs methodically ripped apart the Warhawks like a pack of offensively-minded wolves. This game saw Lodge set season highs in both catches and yards. He'll look to keep it going when he brings his 25-386-1 receiving line into Fayetteville for a date with Arkansas next weekend.
Oct 6 - 7:50 PM

Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge (concussion) is probable for Saturday's home showdown with Alabama.

Lodge (6'2/199) missed this past weekend's defense-optional win over Southern Illinois due to his not having been cleared from concussion protocol. He initially sustained the head injury in Week 1, against Texas Tech. He finished with six catches for 96 yards in that contest. The senior wideout participated in practice on Tuesday, albeit while sporting a non-contact jersey. We'll continue to update his status as needed, but all signs at this point have him suiting up for this weekend's big showdown with the defending champions.
Sep 11 - 7:50 PM

Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge (concussion) did not participate in warmups in advance of Saturday's game against Southern Illinois.

Lodge (6'2/199) was placed in concussion protocol following last Saturday's win over Texas Tech. It's logical that the Rebs would give him a rest versus Southern Illinois. They'll hope to have him back in the fold against Alabama next weekend. Expect his status for that one to clarify over the coming practice week.
Sep 8 - 4:01 PM

Ole Miss WR DaMarkus Lodge (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.

Lodge (6'2/199) is hoping to practice tomorrow, but if he can't than Matt Luke said he will most likely be out on Saturday. Luke notes that Lodge is further along than LB Kevontae' Ruggs -- who is also in the concussion protocol -- so there is hope that Lodge will be available. If Lodge doesn't play, look for stud WR A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf to get even more looks.
Sep 5 - 8:38 PM

Ole Miss WR DaMarkus Lodge was placed in the concussion protocol.

Lodge was the leading receiver for the Rebels in the opener against Texas Tech, hauling in six passes for 96 yards. It now appears his chances of playing against Southern Illinois on Saturday are very much in doubt, however. A.J. Brown will remain the top target whether Lodge is available or not, but if he can't go, it should mean more targets for players like D.K. Metcalf and Braylon Sanders.
Sep 3 - 2:59 PM

Ole Miss senior WR DaMarkus Lodge (ankle) is not expected to practice this week.

Lodge (6'2/199) sprained his ankle during Saturday's scrimmage while being tackled from behind. Rebs HC Matt Luke believes he'll be ready to roll in advance of the team's potentially scoreboard-destroying opener against Texas Tech on Sept. 1. This past season was the most complete of Lodge's collegiate career to date. He wrapped the campaign having caught 41 passes for 698 yards and seven touchdowns.
Aug 13 - 4:38 PM's RecruitingNation compares WR DaMarkus Lodge, the No. 57 ranked player in the ESPN 300, to Justin Hunter of the Tennessee Titans.

"Both players are long, lean, flexible and have a penchant for making acrobatic catches look easy," wrote Gerry Hamilton and Tom Luginbill. "They are similar in size and structure as well. Hunter was lean and lanky coming out as a prep star, but with great body control and flexibility to make very difficult grabs when elevated and in contested matchups downfield. This is also where Lodge shines." Lodge has also been compared to Oklahoma's Jaz Reynolds. "Lodge is ahead of the curve in the small nuances it takes to be a productive college receiver," added Hamilton and Luginbill. "His hands are excellent and he has the length to create vertical mismatches. Route running can be sharper and speed is not elite but we expect him to contribute as a freshman, perhaps in red zone personnel packages early on."

High school WR DaMarkus Lodge, the No. 57 ranked player in the ESPN 300, "seemed like almost a slam dunk for Ole Miss a few weeks back, and it still might be," reported's RecruitingNation.

"But Texas made a major push after the well-documented unofficial visit Lodge made two weeks ago with No. 1 dual-threat quarterback Kyler Murray," reported ESPN. "Lodge could easily end up in Austin, but the Rebels have made him a big priority from day one and that's left a lasting impression on him." Lodge decommitted from Texas A&M in September. The site says Lodge is similar to Oklahoma's Jaz Reynolds. "Lodge is a potential high BCS prospect with a breakout junior year," according to his scouting report. "Added speed and additional size will determine how productive he will be at the next level. Has the natural skill set to develop into a go-to college receiver."
