Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game.
Godwin (5'11/185) saw his numbers dip a bit in 2018, posting a receiving line of 20-340-3 after catching 38 passes for 639 yards and six touchdowns as a junior. However, it should be noted that he was dealing with a calf injury, which sidelined him for Georgia's season opener against Austin Peay, during the early part of the season. The Draft Network made note of Godwin's route-running ability when noting his positives, but the slight frame could be an issue in one-on-one battles. Dec 8 - 2:59 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin finished with three receptions for a game-high 84 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-10 win against Auburn.

The three grabs were actually a season best, and the yardage total was second only to the 95 yards he posted on Oct. 6 against Vanderbilt. He has visited the end zone three times over the past five outings, and he'll look to add to that total next Saturday in non-conference action against Massachusetts in a tune-up game before facing rival Georgia Tech on Nov. 24.

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (calf) "appeared to be back at 100 percent" in the days leading up to Saturday's game at Missouri.

Godwin didn’t play the second half of last week's game against Middle Tennessee. He's dressed and with the team for Saturday's tilt with the Tigers.

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (calf) practiced on Monday.

Godwin has barely played for the Bulldogs, as he's dealt with the calf injury the last two weeks. Being able to practice this early in the week is a great sign for the senior wideout, and means he has a great chance to play against Missouri this Saturday.
Sep 17 - 5:20 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (calf) did travel with the team for Saturday's game at South Carolina.

The return of Godwin, who sat out Georgia's season-opening win over Austin Peay due to a calf injury, isn't a surprise as he did participate in practice this week. This news means that QB Jake Fromm has another weapon to call upon in the passing game, as Godwin caught 38 passes for 639 yards and six touchdowns in 2017.

Georgia senior WR terry Godwin (calf) participated in Tuesday's practice.

All indications at this point have Godwin trucking toward a season debut against South Carolina this coming weekend. The senior wideout was kept on the pine for the Bulldogs' opener against Austin Peay, logical enough given the opponent. He's been fighting his way through leg injuries -- specifically to the knee and calf -- since just about the start of August camp. We'll keep tabs on this one over the remainder of the practice week, but so far, so good.
Sep 4 - 4:42 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (calf) is on track to play against South Carolina on Saturday.

Godwin sat out the opener against Austin Peay, as the senior wideout has been dealing with knee and calf injuries in the preseason and didn't practice the previous week. He was able to workout prior to the game against the Governors, and it sounds like he's going to be full-go against the Gamecocks on Saturday, barring a setback, of course.
Sep 3 - 3:56 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (calf) was not listed on the team's depth chart released Saturday morning.

No real surprise, here, as Godwin had been dealing with both knee and calf injuries throughout preseason camp. He did not practice over the past week. With the Bulldogs squaring off with Austin Peay on Saturday, Godwin's absence doesn't figure to have any significant impact on the game. Competition will increase against South Carolina next weekend. Jeremiah Holloman, Tyler Simmons and D'Marcus Hayes could all see additional work with Godwin set to sit for the opener.
Sep 1 - 1:10 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (calf) did not practice on Wednesday.

At this juncture, we'd be somewhat surprised if Godwin ultimately suits up for Saturday's opener against Austin Peay. He's dealt with both knee and calf issues in camp, with Bulldogs HC Kirby Smart acknowledging earlier this week that the wideout has slipped into "doubtful" territory for Saturday's contest. Should Godwin be unable to play on Saturday, that could mean additional opportunity for the likes of Jeremiah Holloman, Tyler Simmons and D'Marcus Hayes.
Aug 29 - 4:55 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin is "slipping from questionable to doubtful" for their game against Austin Peay due to a calf strain.

Godwin had known knee injuries and but is also reportedly suffering from a calf strain. Head coach Kirby Smart said "We think he’s close, [but] he’s come back twice and it’s just bothering him." As 43 point favorites over Austin Peay, we doubt the Bulldogs will play one of their top receivers who needs more time to heal.

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against Austin Peay.

Godwin (5'11/185) has been bothered with a knee injury for the majority of the preseason camp. He was seen working at full speed during Wednesday's practice, but it's a long season, and to say that Austin Peay isn't going to give the Bulldogs much trouble is an understatement. If he's ready to go expect Godwin to play, but don't be surprised if Kirby Smart and company decided to give Godwin a week off before their contest with South Carolina on September 8.
Aug 27 - 12:49 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (knee) was seen working at full speed during Wednesday's practice.

Godwin (5'11/185) has been working through a knee issue which has bothered him on/off for most of preseason camp. While he did not look to be his normal self when getting in work late last week, it would appear that Wednesday's practice session proved considerably more smooth. We expect him to be ready for the Bulldogs' opener against Austin Peay a week from Saturday, though given the opponent, it wouldn't cause any sort of tangible trouble should they opt to rest him for the contest.
Aug 22 - 4:56 PM

While Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (knee) was able to practice on Thursday, The Athletic's Seth Emerson passes along that he "didn't look entirely comfortable."

Per Emerson, Godwin's working with a wrap on the back of his left leg as he attempts to overcome the pesky knee injury which has been nagging throughout camp. While he still has time to heal up before the season starts, UGA would almost certainly feel confident in resting Godwin for Week 1 if need be -- the Bulldogs will be playing Austin Peay to open the campaign on Sept. 1.
Aug 16 - 5:20 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (knee) was seen running off to the side on Tuesday.

Godwin (5'11/185) continues to fight his way through a pesky knee injury which has lingered throughout preseason camp. His availability for UGA's opener against Austin Peay on Sept. 1 does not yet appear to be in jeopardy -- though we're working with incomplete information -- but even if this injury does keep Godwin sidelined into the campaign, he can afford to rest against Austin Peay. The competition will ramp up with South Carolina in Week 2.
Aug 15 - 12:20 PM

Georgia senior WR Terry Godwin (knee) was held out of practice on Thursday.

Godwin (5'11/185) did practice on Tuesday -- and apparently looked smooth in doing so -- but it would appear that he's still not completely past the nagging knee injury which has been plaguing him in camp. While this is less than ideal, there's been no indication to this juncture that this is anything more than a minor injury.
