Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison won't return to Monday's Sun Bowl against STanford because of an ankle injury.
Ollison went down in the first half with the ankle injury, and ends his final game with the Panthers with five carries with 23 yards. He's accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game, and hopefully he'll be healthy enough to play in that game to help his draft stock. Mon, Dec 31, 2018 04:43:00 PM

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.

Ollison (6'2/225) and Darrin Hall formed one of the best rushing tandems in the country last year with both going over the thousand-yard mark, and both tailbacks are going to be on display at the event. Ollison is seen as more of the bruiser than Hall, but he's shown that he can get behind the secondary as well. He'll need to show he can catch the football and pass block, but if he can, he's a draftable prospect.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison ran for 56 yards and a score on 13 carries in a 42-10 loss to Clemson on Saturday in the ACC Championship Game.

Ollison's score was the only touchdown in the game for the Panthers. It came in the middle of the second quarter from a yard out to briefly get Pitt back in the game at 14-10, but it was all Clemson afterwords. Ollison is just short of 1,200 yards on the year, and should get a chance to add to that total in the Panthers' bowl game.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison rushed for 235 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries in Saturday's 52-22 win over Virginia Tech.

Ollison (6'2/225) continues to be a riser for the 2019 NFL Draft. The redshirt senior plowed into the end zone from eight yards out in the first half, but he had two huge runs to put the game away in the fourth. His second touchdown was a 31-yarder, but he finished the game with a run where he broke through a small hole and stiff armed a defender down to the Earth's mantle on his way to a 97-yard touchdown. You can watch the video in the link below. Ollison has now eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark this season, so he just needs to have a good combine to have a good chance at making an NFL roster.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison rushed for 149 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries in Saturday's 54-45 win over Duke.

Ollison bounced back from a poor game against Notre Dame after resting up on the Pitt bye week. The redshirt senior, who was called the biggest draft stack riser in the ACC by Draft Network's Joe Marino, was able to plow into the end zone for a four yard touchdown, but he was picking up large chunks of yards for the entire game. Ollison now has three straight games with at least 16 carries, and he has a touchdown in five straight. He will look to continue his strong senior season next week versus Virginia.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison ran for 50 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in a 19-14 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday.

Ollison came into the game red-hot, but he didn't find many holes against the tough Notre Dame defense on Saturday. He was able to find the end zone from nine yards out, however, and it gave Pitt a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter. Ollison and the Panthers will try and pick up their fourth win of the year on October 27 when they face Duke.

The Draft Network's Joe Marino believes Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison draft stock has risen more than any other ACC player this year.

Ollison has been an absolute workhorse with 596 yards and five touchdowns on 92 carries this season. Marino explains "He’s emerged as Pitt’s feature back this season, offering a blend of size, burst and physicality. He’s a nuanced runner for his size and definitely has an NFL future after the season he is putting together so far in 2018." Ollison has a tougher draw against Notre Dame next week.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in Saturday's 44-37 overtime win over Syracuse.

Ollison and fellow RB Darrin Hall (107 yards, two scores) both went off against the Orange on Saturday. The former's highlight-reel moment came when he burst free for a 69-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. Nice, very nice. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound redshirt senior averaged 8.0 YPC on the afternoon. While this was just his second 100-yard effort of the season, Ollison has played very consistently through the first month-plus, having been held under 70 yards rushing in just one game (against UCF in Week 5). The Panthers have a tough one ahead of them, now, as they'll be playing Notre Dame next weekend.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison rushed for 49 yards on 11 carries in Saturday's 45-14 loss to UCF.

Whether through the air or ground, Pitt couldn't get anything going on offense against UCF. The Panthers managed only 272 yards of total offense. This was the first time all year that Ollison (6'2/225) has been held under 70 yards.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in Saturday's 24-19 win over Georgia Tech.

Ollison (6'2/225) was given the start after rushing for 119 yards against Penn State, and he made the most out of his new title on Saturday. The senior ran for a 31 yard touchdown in the first quarter and found the end zone again from eight yards out on his way to 5.4 yards per carry against Georgia Tech. Averaging a respectable 5.1 yards per carry on his career, Ollison is a legit player for Pittsburgh and will likely be fed 12 to 20 carries next week against North Carolina on the road.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison is listed as the starter at running back for Saturday's game against Georgia Tech.

Ollison (6'2/223) was the only offensive player who performed at all against the Nittany Lions, and it appears that he's being rewarded for that effort. Darrin Hall -- the presumed starter going into the 2018 season -- is listed as the backup, and should still get touches against the Yellow Jackets. It's Ollison's backfield for now, however, as he's rushes for 192 yards in the first two games.

Pitt redshirt senior RB Qadree Ollison rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries in Saturday's 51-6 loss to Penn State.

Ollison (6'2/23) was the only real offensive performer for the Panthers in this one, as QB Kenny Pickett managed just 55 yards passing (!) in the defeat, essentially taking the passing game out of the equation altogether. The redshirt senior has now turned in 192 rushing yards through two games. A home showdown with Georgia Tech shows next on the schedule as Ollison tries to keep up his nice start to the campaign.

Pitt redshirt junior RB Qadree Ollison rushed for 96 yards on 15 carries in Saturday's 33-14 loss to Penn State.

Ollison (6'2/230) was just about the only bright spot for the Panthers on Saturday, as QB Max Browne threw for just 138 yards. Predictably, no wideout managed more than Jester Weah's 65 yards receiving. Despite Pitt's offensive struggles, Ollison has done a nice job in both of their games to date, having now rushed for 187 yards on the young season.

Ollison was tackled from behind early in the game and briefly went to the locker room before coming back out to rejoin the fray. Pitt and Youngstown State are currently tied at 21-21 in the fourth quarter.
