Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline believes that Kansas redshirt senior TE Mavin Saunders is worth monitoring.
Saunders transferred from Florida State, and caught just 16 passes for 234 yards in three years, with none of them coming in 2017. At 6-foot-5, 248-pounds, Saunders has the size you're looking for in a tight end, and he should get a chance to make an impact with the Jayhawks in 2018. Sun, Aug 26, 2018 01:30:00 PM

FSU redshirt junior TE Mavin Saunders transferred to Kansas as a graduate.

Moving on as a graduate, Saunders (6'5/248) will be eligible to play immediately with the Jayhawks next season. He did not record a catch this year after making 10 grabs for 182 yards during the 2015 campaign. Saunders was a three-star recruit coming out of high school, ranking as Rivals' No. 14 tight end prospect in the 2014 class. While his career never took off with the Seminoles, he's the kind of under-the-radar athletic grab that could really help a typically-rough Kansas offense.

FSU beat writer Safid Deen believes the coaching staff wants to get redshirt freshman TE Mavin Saunders more involved.

Saunders has more drops, two, than catches, one, on the season. Head coach Jimbo Fisher expressed the importance of patience and stated Saunders will make those catches in two or three games. "I have tremendously high hopes," Fisher said. "I think he’s going to be an outstanding player... it's going to happen."
