Florida junior WR Tyrie Cleveland announced that he'll return to school for his senior year.
This isn't a big surprise, but it's a solid return for a Gators' offense/club that has a chance to compete for an SEC division title. The 6-foot-2, 206-pound wideout caught 18 passes for 212 yards with three touchdowns during his junior season. There are some other mouths to feed, but Cleveland should see a fair share of targets for Florida in his final year at the school. Jan 4 - 3:21 PM

Florida junior WR Tyrie Cleveland caught three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 63-10 win over Idaho.

Cleveland logged a 34-yard touchdown grab midway through the second quarter to get in on this blowout action. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior has flashed in the past, but still has yet to put together any kind of a consistent body of work. This was his first game of the year in which he has surpassed 45 yards receiving.

Florida junior WR Tyrie Cleveland (hamstring) could potentially rejoin practice by Saturday.

It's possible that the Gators hold off with Cleveland until next week, but regardless, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior sounds like he'll be back to work in relatively short order. Cleveland has had some big highlight plays on his reel over his first two years in Gainesville -- he infamously downed Tennessee on a 63-yard dart from Feleipe Franks this past season -- but the lack of a real passing offense and pesky injury concerns (he's dealt with ankle and hamstring injuries each of his first two years on campus) have dampened the talented wideout's overall output. For the 2017 campaign, he logged a 22-410-2 receiving line. Cleveland has the potential to be one of the biggest benefactors of the team's move to hire Dan Mullen as their replacement for Jim McElwain.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland is getting his ankle taped during Saturday's contest against UAB.

Cleveland has battled ankle issues all year, and was sidelined with a high ankle sprain for nearly a month. We'll have an update on his status for the rest of the game when it's presented.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland caught one pass for 11 yards in Saturday's 28-20 loss to South Carolina.

Cleveland was sidelined by a high ankle sprain for almost the entire month of October, but has now managed to play in three consecutive games. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder has shown plenty of upside during his time at Florida, but the Gators just don't have an offense installed which can consistently get him the ball.

Florida interim HC Randy Shannon said that sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) has been "bouncing around" in practice this week.

Cleveland was hobbled by a high ankle sprain for much of October, but all indications at this juncture are that he is past the injury concern. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore has not missed a rep this practice week. He's a supremely talented wideout when healthy, but finished October with just one catch for five yards. If he's truly good to go against Missouri's saggy defense on Saturday, we like him for a nice game.

Florida HC Jim McElwain indicated that sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) is probable for Saturday's game against Georgia.

"Ultimately we've got to wait for the trainer and all that come game time, which is why, I don't know, what would that be? Probable," McElwain said. It's not the most definitive of declarations, but looking past McElwain's comments, Cleveland has been able to practice this week and was listed as a starter on the Gators' unofficial depth chart for Saturday. The sophomore wideout has benefited from having a bye week to rest up. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder is working to a 15-326-2 receiving line in five games this year. His average reception mark of 21.7 yards ranks as ninth best in the country.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) is listed as a starter on the team's unofficial depth chart for Saturday's game against Georgia.

Cleveland has been limited by a high ankle sprain this month, but he is fresh off a bye week resting up and was able to practice on Tuesday. At this juncture, the Gators' top wideout appears to be on the right track to play on Saturday. We'll check back on him as updates become available. Should he sit against the Bulldogs, it would be a major loss for an already offensively-challenged team.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) is not practicing this week.

Cleveland is dealing with a high ankle sprain, one which cost him a game against LSU two weekends ago. He did manage to play to a minor degree in Saturday's loss to Texas A&M, but did not log a catch in the contest. Florida will understandably rest him during this, their bye week, with his status for the Gators' October 28th showdown with Georgia to be determined closer to that kickoff.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) took the field in the first quarter of Saturday's game against Texas A&M.

This is something of a surprise, as Cleveland was considered doubtful for the game due to a high ankle sprain. He was not spotted in pregame warmups initially, either. His playing on Saturday represents a significant boost for what is currently a diminished receiving corp.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) is not warming up in advance of Saturday's game against Texas A&M.

Cleveland is working his way through a high ankle sprain. He sat out last weekend's loss to LSU and, barring a sudden turnaround, is now set to miss his second consecutive game. Brandon Powell and Josh Hammond will likely see increased snaps against the Aggies in Cleveland's absence.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) is doubtful for Saturday's game against Texas A&M.

Cleveland is dealing with a bothersome high ankle sprain, always a tricky injury to come back from in full. He did not play in Saturday's loss to LSU. Brandon Powell and Josh Hammond figure to see the bulk of work in his absence. Florida's receiving corp is considerably diminished at this point with Antonio Callaway still out on suspension and Kadarius Toney dealing with a shoulder injury.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) did not return to practice on Monday.

It's not a big surprise, as Cleveland (6'2/205) is dealing with a high-ankle sprain that could keep him out several weeks. The Gators are also possibly dealing with the absence of Kadarius Toney (shoulder), so Josh Hammond would become the default top option for Florida.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against LSU.

Cleveland suffered a high ankle sprain in Saturday's win over Vanderbilt. He attempted to fight through the injury in practice, to no avail. It is a considerable loss for Florida's come-and-go receiving corps -- Cleveland had begun to blossom into a true No. 1 option with Antonio Callaway out suspended and had been working to a 15-326-2 receiving line while averaging 21.7 yards per reception, good for fourth-best in the SEC. Josh Hammond and Kadarius Toney are two potential options to see additional targets in Cleveland's absence.

Florida sophomore WR Tyrie Cleveland (ankle) is likely to miss Saturday's game against LSU.

Cleveland (6'2/205) suffered the injury against Vanderbilt, and it's believed the sprain is of the high-ankle variety. With that being the case, this could be a multiple week injury for the Gators' top receiver. We'll have more as the week progresses.
