South Carolina junior WR Bryan Edwards five passes for 104 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 28-3 win over Akron.
Edwards (6'3/220) was wide open on the sideline, but he had to outrun the Akron safety on his way to a 70-yard catch-and-run touchdown. The long score brings his season total to seven and the 105 yards were the third time he has eclipsed the 100-yard mark this season, but he will have the bowl game to bring each of those totals up. Edwards certainly has the talent to have a big game regardless of who is lined up against him. Dec 1 - 4:13 PM

South Carolina junior WR Bryan Edwards picked up four catches for 105 yards with a touchdown in a 48-44 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday.

Not a huge game in terms of catches, but Edwards (6'3/220) made the most of his limited receptions; scoring on a 75-yard dime from Jake Bentley to give the Gamecocks a 24-13 lead in the middle of the second quarter. Edwards now has six touchdowns on the year, and it's the second time the talented junior has gone over the century mark. He'll try to improve on both next Saturday against Florida.

South Carolina HC Will Muschamp says junior Bryan Edwards (ankle) is "fine" in advance of this week's game against Mississippi.

No worries about Edwards' availability here. He suffered a minor ankle sprain over the weekend against Tennessee. Edwards has dealt with nagging ankle injuries over the past month, so this is something to keep an eye on.

South Carolina junior Bryan Edwards (ankle) caught seven passes for 73 yards with two touchdowns in a 37-35 win over Missouri on Saturday.

Edwards was clearly battling an ankle injury that he sustained against Kentucky, but give the 6-foot-3, 220-pound wideout credit for battling through the game. His first scored was a five-yard dart from Michael Scarnecchia in the first, and a quarter later the two hooked up again from 17 yards out to make it 17-14 Missouri. Edwards has matched his 2017 total of five touchdowns on the year, and it's the second time in 2018 he's scored multiple times. He'll try to repeat it against Texas A&M next Saturday.

"Bryan Edwards looked great and he looks good to go," HC Will Muschamp said. The star receiver was diagnosed with a sprained ankle after Saturday's loss to Kentucky. South Carolina plays Missouri on Saturday.

South Carolina junior WR Bryan Edwards was able to return to Saturday's game against Vanderbilt after leaving briefly due to injury.

Edwards, who entered Saturday's game with 11 catches and three touchdowns on the season, is a key contributor for the Gamecocks both in the passing game and on special teams. His return was good news for the Gamecocks, who are in search of their first conference win of the season.
Sep 22 - 5:22 PM

South Carolina junior WR Bryan Edwards was taken into the injury tent during the first quarter of Saturday's game against Vanderbilt due to an undisclosed injury.

Edwards accounted for 11 receptions, 164 receiving yards and three touchdowns in South Carolina's first two games, and his departure is big news for the Gamecock offense. The junior is a key option opposite Deebo Samuel, and his absence means that sophomore OrTre Smith will be asked to step up if Edwards cannot return. Also, Nick Harvey took over the punt return duties following Edwards' departure.
Sep 22 - 4:49 PM

South Carolina junior WR Bryan Edwards had seven catches for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Saturday's 41-17 loss to Georgia.

Not the best day for South Carolina as a program, but it was a great day for Edwards individually. He showed out against one of the nation's best secondaries. The first of his touchdowns was a freebie, as coverage broke down on a trick play after Deebo Samuel was handed the ball. Edwards broke free and Samuels hit him for an easy score. Edwwards had to work for the second, a contested catch down the sideline where Edwards was blanketed but hauled in a 44-yard catch anyway. South Carolina would do well to keep targeting Edwards 10-plus times a game, as it did today.

ESPN's Alex Scarborough lists South Carolina Junior WR Bryan Edwards as the most underrated player on the Gamecocks.

As Scarborough notes, most of the attention goes to to Deebo Samuel in the passing game for South Carolina, and it's understandable why; Samuel is one of the best wide receiver prospects in the country who has shown dominance when healthy. "But don't sleep on Edwards," writes Scarborough. "He's caught 103 passes and eight touchdowns the past two seasons, after all." If the Gamecocks are going to compete for the SEC title, they'll need a big year from Samuel and Edwards.

South Carolina junior WR Bryan Edwards is nursing a shoulder injury sustained in spring practice.

According to Gamecocks QB Jake Bentley, Edwards injured his shoulder when he landed wrong after trying for a catch. While there's no immediate timetable for the 6-foot-3, 209-pounder's return to spring action, all indications point toward his being able to come back in relatively short order. Edwards logged a 64-793-5 receiving line for the 2017 campaign. Three of those five touchdown grabs came in South Carolina's final three games of the season. While he figures to have some targets vacuumed up by stud wideout Deebo Samuel (coming back from a broken leg) in 2018, Edwards has proven to be a consistent, dependable receiver over his first two years on campus.

South Carolina sophomore WR Bryan Edwards racked up five receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 26-19 victory over Michigan in the Outback Bowl.

Edwards finished with 793 receiving yards and five scores, with three of those touchdowns coming in his final three games. He managed to pull down at least three receptions in 11 of his 13 games, too. His three-game touchdown streak should serve as a nice springboard into 2018. He really jelled nicely with QB Jake Bentley over the final three outings, posting 19 grabs, 248 yards and three TDs.
Jan 1 - 4:42 PM

South Carolina sophomore WR Bryan Edwards caught eight passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in a 31-10 victory on Saturday over Wofford.

The eight catches for the sophomore wide receiver are a season high, and the 90 yards are his second-highest total of the season. His touchdown came on a 23-yard strike from Jake Bentley to give the Gamecocks a 14-3 lead with just under a minute left in the first half. Edwards (6-3/215) has now scored in two of the last three games, and will look to make it three of four against Clemson next week.

South Carolina sophomore WR Bryan Edwards had six catches for 122 yards in Saturday's 17-16 win over Louisiana Tech.

South Carolina's offense was stagnant throughout. The Gamecocks mounted precious few extended drives and turned the ball over twice. Facing a 13-0 deficit after three quarters, South Carolina came to life with two touchdowns to take the lead 14-13 with 4:52 left. They appeared to be just about done when trailing 16-14 at their own 14-yard line with less than 50 seconds left, but Jake Bentley had a 24-yard scramble and a 41-yard completion to Edwards over the next two plays to get the Gamecocks into field-goal range for the win. This was Edwards' first game over 60 receiving yards this season.

South Carolina sophomore WR Bryan Edwards (sports hernia) led the team with four catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns in the Gamecocks' spring game.

While Edwards required surgery to repair a sports hernia earlier this offseason and was initially a limited participant in spring practice, the 6-foot-3, 209-pounder was no worse for the wear in the spring game and should be a healthy participant in full come the start of August camp. He notched an impressive 44-590-4 receiving line as a true freshman. He and Deebo Samuel will be leading the South Carolina attack at receiver in 2017.

South Carolina sophomore WR Bryan Edwards (sports hernia) will be limited early in spring practices.

Edwards underwent sports hernia surgery in the offseason. The 6-foot-3, 209-pound former four-star wideout was the ESPN 300's No. 253 overall prospect in the 2016 pool. He showed NFL tools as a true freshman, posting a 44-590-4 line despite being a victim of South Carolina's feeble aerial attack.
