"I feel we have a chance to do it again (in making a Playoff run) and I believe everybody else does." The 6-foot-4, 251-pounder has put in 29 tackles (3.5 for loss) and a sack during the regular season. ESPN's Edward Aschoff reports that Georgia junior DE Jonathan Ledbetter is in line to start and has become a leader on the team.

This is notable, because Ledbetter appeared to be on the verge of throwing his potential away following a seven-game last season for a pair of alcohol-related arrests. "Outside of just being a better teammate, Ledbetter has seen his development take off by being more cognizant of his technique and hustle," Aschoff wrote. "Ledbetter is in much better shape." He posted a sack and 1.5 TFL in the spring game.

Said HC Kirby Smart, "How much he’ll play [against Vanderbilt on Saturday], I don’t know. He’s handled everything we asked him to do very well. He has worked really hard."

Georgia sophomore DE Jonathan Ledbetter was arrested on Saturday morning and charged with driving under the influence and underage possession of alcohol.

Ledbetter was arrested during a traffic stop early on Saturday morning. Both the DUI and underage possession charges he faces are misdemeanor counts. This is his second arrest in the last three-and-a-half months. Back in March, he attempted to gain entry to a club using a fake ID. The charges stemming from that incident were eventually dismissed, but that did not stop Georgia from handing down a one-game suspension. As for what might come of Saturday's arrest, a DUI is cause for a two-game suspension according to the Bulldogs' drug and alcohol policy. Given that he is already set to miss Georgia's September 3rd opener against North Carolina, these newest charges could end up costing him the bulk of the September schedule. Official word on punishment should be announced in the coming days.
