NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers accepted an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl.
Meyers (6'2/203) is not technically a senior, but as a fourth-year junior who has graduated he made the cut for the premiere postseason evaluation bowl. The Wolfpack wideout declared for the draft on Tuesday following a campaign in which he logged a 92-1047-4 receiving line. Those 92 receptions stand as a new school record. Meyers is rock-solid when it comes to making contested catches in traffic. Athletic testing figures to be crucial to his eventual draft slot. Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline is bullish on Meyers, grading him as a Round 2 prospect. That might be a touch optimistic in our book. Jan 2 - 3:36 PM

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Meyers (6'2/203) makes the draft call just hours after his Wolfpack were beaten down by Texas A&M in the Gator Bowl. The wideout finished out his 2018 season having caught 92 passes for 1,047 yards and four touchdowns. The Draft Network's Joe Marino notes on the positive side that Meyers is adept at making contested catches in traffic and shows a good pace on his routes. That said, the analyst would like to see more nuance on his routes, and additionally points out that as with so many collegiate receivers, he does not have experience with any sort of an advanced route tree. He also lacks overt athleticism, which figures to be somewhat problematic come combine testing.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers caught 13 passes for 163 yards and a score in Saturday's 58-3 victory over East Carolina.

This was Meyers's fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season. With this performance, he also went over 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career. If Meyers (6'2/203) sticks around next year, he'll be NC State's undisputed go-to receiver with Kelvin Harmon likely off to the NFL.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers seven passes for 111 scoreless yards in Saturday's 34-28 overtime win over North Carolina.

Meyers turned in his fourth 100-yard receiving game of the season and accounted for over 50 percent of QB Ryan Finley's passing yardage in this one. He has flashed lots of upside this season as the team's No. 2 wideout behind WR Kelvin Harmon, recording 7-or-more receptions in 7-of-10 games this year. Meyers will finish up the regular season against East Carolina.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers seven passes for 96 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 52-10 win over Louisville.

Meyers (6'2/203) finished just behind Kelvin Harmon in yards, but they both had nice touchdowns against the porous Louisville defense. The redshirt junior is a nice secondary option behind Harmon for quarterback Ryan Finley, and Meyers should finish the season strong with only North Carolina and East Carolina left on the schedule. Meyers should see a 7-10 targets in each of those games.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers hauled in 10 passes for 99 yards and a score in a 28-23 victory on Saturday over Boston College.

Meyers rebounded after sitting out a game against Georgia State and only recording a 6/59/0 stat line in the two contests after. This is just his second-best game of the season however after exploding for 14/161/0 in their opening game against James Madison. Meyers is still the second fiddle among pass-catchers behind Kelvin Harmon and will continue to fill that role for the rest of the season. Meyers will have to step up in a tough draw against Clemson on October 20th after a bye.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers is 'on track' to play against Marshall on Saturday according to HC Dave Doeren.

Meyers has been nursing an ankle injury since the opener, in which he hauled in 14 passes for 168 yards against James Madison. The 6-foot-2, 203-pound wideout is a reliable target, and his return is a big one for quarterback Ryan Finley and the NC State passing game. Keep an eye on his status going forward.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) won't play against Georgia State on Saturday.

Meyers gave it his best, getting out on the field early with his left ankle heavily taped. After warming up, it was decided that Meyers wouldn't play, probably a good decision against this Sun Belt opponent. Expect Meyers to be back out there next time.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is questionable against Georgia State on Saturday.

Meyers (6'2/203) caught 14 passes for 168 yards in the season opener against James Madison, but he suffered an ankle injury in the second half. The redshirt junior is "trying like heck" to play this Saturday, but "Jakobi will be a gameday deal" according to HC Dave Doeren. Last week's No. 1 target for the Wolfpack will test his ankle pregame and then a decision will be made on his availability. If Meyers is ruled out, senior Steph Louis -- who is expected to return this week --, sophomores Emeka Emezie and C.J. Riley, and redshirt freshman Thayer Thomas will take on bigger roles.

NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers hauled in 14 passes for 168 yards in a 24-13 victory on Saturday over James Madison.

Meyers had a long catch of 39 yards against the tough -- FCS opponent or not -- James Madison defense. Outside of that long gain, most of Meyers' catches were of the short variety, but he was consistently finding holes in the defense and clearly had a rapport with Ryan Finley early in this one. Don't be surprised if Meyers is one of the reception leaders in the ACC in 2018. He and the Wolfpack should have another big game against Georgia State next Saturday.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline writes that NC State redshirt junior WR Jakobi Meyers is an "unheralded gem."

"[Meyers] is a game-controlling receiver with big play ability," Pauline explains, later noting of that 6-foot-2, 181-pounder possesses "the style and substance to develop into a number two receiver on Sunday." Befitting of this high estimation, the analyst stamps Meyers with a second-round grade in advance of the upcoming campaign. On the field this past season, the redshirt junior posted a 63-727-5 receiving line.

NC State redshirt sophomore WR Jakobi Meyers posted seven receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 52-31 victory against Arizona State in the Sun Bowl.

It was an impressive performance for the Wolfpack offense, which will return nine starters in 2018. Meyers and Stephen Louis will be the top targets for QB Ryan Finley, who will lead what should be a prolific offense in Raleigh during the 2018 season.

NC State redshirt sophomore WR Jakobi Meyers is feeling comfortable in his position switch from quarterback.

Meyers (6'2/181) initially made the transition from quarterback to wide receiver in the final week of August camp last year. He went on to record a 13-158-2 receiving line for the past campaign. Said Meyers, "I will always love being a quarterback, but at the end of the day, I love playing more than watching. I don’t care where I’m at. I could kick, and I’d want to play over watching."
