Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught 12 passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 28-0 bowl win over South Carolina.
Zaccheaus and quarterback Bryce Perkins led Virginia to it's first bowl win in 13 years. As usual, Zaccheaus was a check down machine for the Cavaliers, picking up first downs and touchdowns left and right. The senior is a very interesting NFL prospect, as he played in a running back hybrid role at Virginia, but it's a role that is expanding at the next level. Zaccheaus broke Virginia's single-season receptions record with 94 catches this season, and it was a record he held last year when he hauled in 85 passes. It would take the right NFL team to make it work, but Zaccheaus could be a sleeper going into the 2019 NFL Draft. Sat, Dec 29, 2018 03:30:00 PM

Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus registered 11 catches for 111 yards in a 30-27 loss to Georgia TEch on Saturday.

As usual, Zaccheaus was the recipient of plenty of short targets from Bryce Perkins, and he has his third double-digit catch effort of the year. Unfortunately, the senior had a long of "just" 18 yards, and he hasn't scored a touchdown since September 29. He'll look to break that streak on Friday against Virginia Tech.

Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught 10 passes for 108 yards in Saturday's 31-21 win over North Carolina.

No touchdowns for Zaccheaus on Saturday, but he did notch his second consecutive game of double-digit receptions in this spot after coming down with 10 catches against Duke last weekend. For the season as a whole, the 5-foot-8, 185-pound senior is the owner of a 56-690-6 receiving line over the course of eight games played. He'll try to add to that against Pitt next Friday.

Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus brought in 10 receptions for 66 yards in Saturday's 28-14 win over Duke.

Zaccheaus continues to dominate the team in target share, receptions, and yards. His 10 receptions in this one is a single-game season-high, with his previous high being nine. He is now up to 46-582-6 this season, a similar pace as 2017. The Cavaliers play UNC next, a team that shouldn't present many problems for one of the ACC's top wideouts.

Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus brought in nine receptions for 109 yards and scored twice in a 35-21 loss to NC State on Saturday.

The Cavaliers offense struggled for the most part against the NC State defense, but Zaccheaus certainly didn't. The shifty wideout gave Virginia a 7-3 lead on a 35-yard stroll into the end zone in the first quarter, and he also caught a Bryce Perkins pass from nine yards out late in the third. The 5-foot-8, 185-pound wideout has been one of the top wideouts in the ACC this season, and that isn't likely to change anytime soon. A tough match-up comes next on October 13, however, against Miami.

The Draft Network's Joe Marino believes Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus will be the team's first skill player drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Zaccheaus is coming off a school record 9/247/2 game against Ohio where his skills were on full display. While Marino believes he will likely be a complementary receiver in the NFL, "His athletic ability, ball skills and hands make him a potent vertical threat that is capable of getting behind the secondary." Marino already knows scouts will overlook Zaccheaus due to his height (5'8) and length, but there is "a lot to like about his skill set." A few more performances like his most recent certainly wouldn't hurt his draft stock, but regardless he will likely be a mid-to-late round pick in 2019.

Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus hauled in nine passes for 247 yards and two scores in a 45-31 victory over Ohio on Saturday.

Zaccheaus was outstanding against the Bobcats, and it's clear he has a rapport with new starter Bryce Perkins. The two connected on a score from 86 yards out to give the Cavaliers a 14-0 lead early in the first, and they found paydirt again on a 77-yard strike that put the game out of reach at 45-28 with just over six minutes left. Zaccheaus has tremendous speed, and he showed as much against the Bobcats. He'll be the go-to target again when the Whoos take on Louisville next Saturday.

Virginia senior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught five passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 20-16 loss to Indiana.

Well he got the touchdown, at least. Otherwise it was a supremely quiet game for the 5-foot-8, 185-pound Zaccheaus. The senior wideout posted more meaty numbers against Richmond in Week 1, when he caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. He'll look to bounce back from Saturday's modest night in a home showdown with Ohio next weekend.

Virginia junior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught five passes for 62 yards on Saturday in a 49-7 loss to Navy in the Military Bowl.

Zaccheus was essentially the only effective offensive player for the Cavaliers, which didn't mix well with the fact that Virginia couldn't stop the run. It ends on a down note, but it was a strong season for the junior wideout; catching 85 passes for over 900 yards and showing playmaking ability despite his small stature (5'8/185). There'll be a new quarterback in Charlottesville, but Zaccheaus still should put up solid numbers, and has a chance to be one of the better wideouts in the ACC in 2018.

Virginia junior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught nine passes for 98 yards in a 40-36 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday.

It's the fifth time this year that Zaccheaus (5'8/185) has now caught at least eight passes in five games this year. He didn't get into the end zone, but his ability to make plays from the slot set up several of the Cavalier scores on Saturday. He's one of the better "little" receivers in the conference, and should have another big game next week against Louisville.

Virginia junior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught six passes for 57 yards in Saturday's 41-10 loss to Boston College.

Zaccheaus led the team in receptions and receiving yardage, but there was really nothing doing for the Cavaliers in this one. The 5-foot-8, 185-pound junior had gone over 65 yards receiving in four of six contests prior to being quieted on Saturday. Pitt shows next on Virginia's schedule as they look to improve to 6-2 and achieve bowl eligibility.

Virginia junior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught five balls for 100 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 20-14 victory over UNC.

He also had 14 yards rushing. This was his second 100-yard receiving game of the campaign, and he's chipped in 130 rushing yards. The 5-foot-8, 185-pound Zaccheaus is a pivotal chess piece in Virginia's efficient, quick-hitting passing gane.

Virginia junior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught eight passes for 69 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 28-21 win over Duke.

A Swiss Army Knife, the 5-foot-8, 185-pound Zaccheaus has proven a pest to opponents in the slot, on the outside and as a runner this year. He owns a 38-348-3 line as a receiver, and he's also rushed for 117 yards and another score.

Virginia junior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught four passes for 29 yards while rushing for 64 yards and a touchdown on two attempts in Friday's 42-23 win over Boise State.

Zaccheaus was not much of a factor in the passing game, but he made his presence felt and then some on a 56-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. On the play, he angled the ball toward the left sideline before sprinting upfield and breaking out of an attempted ankle tackle. While the yardage total didn't come together on the receiving front, the 5-foot-8, 185-pound junior has now caught at least five passes in all four of Virginia's games to date.
Sat, Sep 23, 2017 12:06:00 AM

Virginia junior WR Olamide Zaccheaus caught 12 passes for 72 yards in Saturday's 34-17 loss to Indiana.

Zaccheaus (5'8/185) had it going in terms of volume, at least, but did not post a reception of longer than 20 yards. UVA's most accomplished receiving threat, the junior logged a 51-584-7 line last season. He is up to 17 catches through two games this time around.
