Ole Miss redshirt senior CB Ken Webster accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Webster (5'11/194) intercepted two passes for the Rebels last year while breaking up five passes and making 30 tackles. He missed all of the 2016 season because of a knee injury, but he has recovered from it without many bumps in the road. Testing will be very important for Webster -- and the medicals will obviously have to come back clean -- but Webster has a chance to be a late-round pick if he performs well at the combine and at the Shrine Game. Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline writes that he has "cooled" on Ole Miss redshirt senior CB Ken Webster due to athletic deficiencies which have shown since he injured his knee in 2016.

"Webster gets high marks for effort, but the injury has seemingly sapped much of his quickness and explosion," Pauline writes. The 5-foot-11, 194-pound redshirt senior was sidelined by a season-ending knee injury during September of 2016, but did manage to return for the most recent campaign, when he logged 29 tackles and a pair of passes defended. Draft Analyst hits Webster up with a UDFA grade at this juncture. A strong -- and healthy -- season upcoming is probably going to be a must if he's to receive any amount of serious Day 3 interest.

Ole Miss interim head coach Matt Luke announced that redshirt junior CB Ken Webster will be suspended one game after he was arrested Tuesday night on one count of shoplifting.

Webster will miss the opener against South Alabama on Sept. 2. Webster started all 13 games in 2015. He also started the 2016 opener before suffering a season-ending leg injury on the first series against Florida State. Webster missed spring practices while rehabbing, but he should be good to go for the Week 2 game on Sept. 9 against UT-Martin.

Ole Miss redshirt junior CB Ken Webster was arrested Tuesday night along with linebacker Detric Bing-Dukes on one count each of shoplifting.

Details on the incident are sparse at this time, and interim head coach Matt Luke indicated that the program will gather facts before rendering judgement on these players' futures. A projected starter, Webster suffered a season-ending leg injury on the first series of last season's opener against Florida State. Webster missed spring practices while rehabbing but was expected to be a full-participant in fall camp.

Ole Miss junior CB Ken Webster will miss the remainder of the season due to a left knee injury.

Webster started every game in 2015 and was viewed as the team's top corner, so obviously this is a big hit to the defense. The injury occurred early in the game, and FSU later went on a consecutive scoring possession tear. Webster will likely be able to claim a medical redshirt.

Ole Miss junior CB Ken Webster was carted off the field after suffering a leg injury in Monday's game against FSU.

Webster was defending on an under-thrown Deondre Francois pass deep down the field on the Rebs' first defensive possession of the game and came down awkwardly on his leg. The 5-foot-11, 189-pounder remained down on the field for several minutes before being carted off the field in tears -- while also barking at his defensive teammates like a champ. Webster was a 13-game starter for the Rebels last season. While the injury certainly looked severe on the field, further details as to the extent of the blow should emerge over the coming days.
