Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell caught five passes for 114 yards and a touchdown while rushing for a 78-yard score in Saturday's 62-39 win over Michigan.
Campbell (6'1/208) helped to put the finishing touches on the blowout victory, breaking out for his 78-yard rushing touchdown near the beginning of the fourth quarter before hauling in a 16-yard scoring pass with 5:30 remaining in the game. That latter touchdown put OSU up 62-32. For the campaign, now, the redshirt junior wideout has caught 71 passes for 825 yards and 10 touchdowns. Up next on the docket, he will look to add to those tallies against Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship Game. Nov 24 - 5:18 PM

Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell caught nine passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 49-26 win over Indiana.

Campbell broke his single-game career-high in receptions, tied his single-game career-high in touchdowns (2), and his 142 receiving yards were the second-most of his career. The redshirt junior hasn't filled the stat sheet as much as he can because the Buckeyes are loaded at all skill positions, but don't get it twisted. Campbell can ball out. Today he caught a pass in the flats with nobody around, and he took off like a Ferrari for 71 yard touchdown. Campbell and Ohio State will keep things going next week against Minnesota.

Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell caught eight passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-6 win against Tulane on Saturday.

Campbell is a ludicrously explosive athlete whose touches have always been held down due to how many mouths the Buckeyes coaching staff has to feed on offense. He didn't play much in the second half today due to the score, but boy did Campbell make it hurt for Tulane in the first half. Nay, first quarter. Campbell scored twice in the opening stanza with a 5-111-2 line before the second quarter had even begun. He's an intriguing NFL prospect to keep an eye on.

NFL Media's Lance Zierlein lists Ohio State redshirt senior WR Parris Campbell third among pass-catchers to watch in 2018.

Campbell ranks only behind Oklahoma's Marquise Brown and Ole Miss's A.J. Brown, respectively. Campbell flirted with the NFL, but ultimately decided to return for his senior season with the Buckeyes. He's shown flashes of brilliance while with Ohio State, but his 39-573-3 line last year is modest for a potential top 100 selection. Zierlein expects him to get the ball more in 2018, and to do good things with said ball in his hands. "Campbell has good size (6-foot, 200) and great speed, and he also offers value as a kick returner and cover man on special teams," he writes. "His hands are problematic and he still has work to do in terms of expanding his route tree, but his big-play potential certainly intrigues NFL teams."

Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell will return to school for the 2018 season.

Campbell (6'1/208) likely would have been fighting it out for a Day 2/early Day 3 selection had he declared for the draft. As is, he'll be heading back to Columbus. The redshirt junior posted a 39-573-3 receiving line for the 2017 campaign, his first season as a truly integrated piece in the OSU offense. While those are relatively modest numbers, he also performed well as a kick returner and was aces in terms of his work after the catch. Campbell averaged 13 YAC, good for the best mark in the country per Pro Football Focus. Consistency will be the next step for the athletic wideout -- he was held under 60 yards receiving in 11 of 13 games during the 2017 campaign.
Jan 11 - 6:03 PM

According to Pro Football Focus, Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell averaged 13.0 yards after the catch, tops in the nation.

Not only did Campbell lead all FBS players in his YAC, as the kids like to say, he also had 87 percent of his yardage come after the catch, which was fourth best in the nation. Once the ball is in the redshirt junior's hands, his speed and ability to make people miss make him a threat to score. He could be one of the first wideouts off the board if he decides to enter the draft.

Ohio state redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell (undisclosed) did not make the trip ahead of Saturday's game against Iowa.

By the laws of physics, this means he will not be playing against Iowa. The talented playmaker was carted off after a big hit against Penn State. It should mean more playing time for receivers like Terry McLaurin and Johnnie Dixon in the game against the Hawkeyes.

Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell (undisclosed) is questionable for Saturday's game against Iowa.

"He's questionable for this week," HC Urban Meyer said. "He got dinged on [a] kickoff return. He's tough as nails." Against Penn State on Saturday, Campbell was driven into the locker room on a cart after a hard hit that resulted in a fumble. Asked if Campbell had suffered a concussion, Meyer said he wasn't sure.

Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell missed the bulk of Saturday's win over Nebraska due to an undisclosed injury.

Campbell was injured in the first quarter of the game and, per HC Urban Meyer, the Buckeyes opted to hold him out for the rest of the game as a precaution. He'll have the bye week to heal up before OSU takes on Penn State on October 28. His playing status for that contest will be determined over the next two practice weeks.

Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell caught six passes for 136 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 49-21 win over Indiana.

Big game for Campbell out of the box, particularly given that Ohio State's receiving corps was considered one of the team's question marks (relatively speaking) given their greenness. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound redshirt junior made his speed felt throughout the game, no more so than on a 74-yard touchdown grab with time running down in the third quarter. Campbell led the Buckeyes with both catches and yardage in the game. He has an opportunity in front of him for a big year given the high-powered offensive attack in which he plays.

CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso ranks Ohio State redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell as the No. 58 draft prospect.

Many casual fans don't yet know Campbell's name. They're about to, as Campbell is moving into the "H-back" role played by Curtis Samuel a season ago (and has been played by Percy Harvin and Braxton Miller in the past). The 6-foot-1, 208-pound Campbell caught 13 passes for 121 yards and averaged 27.8 yards on 21 kick returns last year. He's received early Rds. 1-2 buzz from the draft media this offseason.

Ohio State HC Urban Meyer called redshirt junior WR Parris Campbell the team's "best playmaker."

"We moved Parris inside a little bit, and he’s dynamic. He was a running back in high school. Big dude that can run and catch — he’s that guy right now," Meyer said. The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder could see his fair share of work at H-Back during the coming season, same hybrid running back/wideout position manned by Curtis Samuel last season. This past season, Campbell logged 13 catches for 121 yards while rushing for 54 yards and a touchdown on four carries. He should see a significant statistical bump during the coming season so long as he is able to maintain his health

Ohio State HC Urban Meyer said that redshirt sophomore WR Parris Campbell (ankle) could potentially play against Nebraska on Saturday.

Campbell is in the process of rehabbing a high ankle sprain sustained in the fourth quarter of Saturday's win over Northwestern. During his weekly radio show on Thursday, Meyer indicated that the 6-foot-1, 208-pound redshirt sophomore was a full participant in practice on Thursday morning. While Campbell has shown promise as a return man (326 kick-return yards in eight games), he does not offer enough of an offensive component (10 catches for 96 yards) to bat a fantasy eyelash at.

Ohio State HC Urban Meyer indicated that redshirt sophomore WR Parris Campbell is nursing a high ankle sprain.

Meyer deemed Campbell to be questionable for Saturday's showdown with Nebraska. He initially went down injured in the fourth quarter of this past weekend's game against Northwestern while attempting to block a play for Curtis Samuel. Should the 6-foot-1, 208-pound Campbell be held out of action vs. the Cornhuskers, his absence would be seen most on special teams -- while the redshirt sophomore has just 10 catches for 96 yards this season, he has also racked up 326 yards via the kick return.
