Washington State redshirt senior T Andre Dillard accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl.
Dillard (6'5/310) has been a mainstay on the offensive line over the past four years, and was largely responsible for keeping Gardner Minshew upright and leading the Cougars to a 10-2 record in 2018. Scouts note his ability to get to the second level with power, but he'll need to show he can handle speedy edge-rushers and improve his footwork. If he does, he could be one of the first senior tackles off the board this April. Dec 3 - 12:33 PM

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline lists Washington State redshirt senior T Andre Dillard as one of his "risers" for his performance in Week 4.

Pauline was one of the low analysts on Dillard (6'5/310) coming into the season, but he admits that his performance against USC last Friday has caused him to reevaluate things. "The Cougars left tackle did a terrific job protecting the blind side of his quarterback and soundly shut down opponents all evening. Dillard is fundamentally sound and blocks with proper knee bend as well as leverage to stop opponents," he writes. He admits there's concern about his footwork -- and scouts are torn whether he's a true left tackle -- but if Dillard continues this strong play, he's going to be one of the first senior tackles to come off the board in 2019.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline docks the draft grade of Washington State redshirt senior T Andre Dillard due to questions of consistency.

Pauline passes along that Dillard has received "a few early-round grades" from scouts to date. He just can't get there, assigning the 6-foot-5, 310-pounder a sixth-round designation for the spring while writing that the Washington State lineman is "an average run blocker who does not show next-level footwork and also gets pushed back into the pocket." Setting aside the questions of consistency, here, the analyst does speak highly of Dillard's technical prowess in his hand usage, noting that he is a "terrific position blocker who seals opponents from the action."

Washington State redshirt junior T Andre Dillard was on the field for all but one snap in 2016.

Impressive enough in its own right that Dillard essentially played every snap, made doubly so considering the number of plays that HC Mike Leach chews his offense through on a per-game basis. The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder ultimately saw 1,074 of 1,075 snaps. Dillard appeared in just three contests in 2015 before taking his quantum leap forward this past season. Pro Football Focus named him to their All-Pac-12 second-team for this fine work.
