Auburn redshirt junior WR Darius Slayton declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Slayton (6'2/190) has worked as a consistent deep threat for the Tigers throughout his career, ending his three active years with the program averaging 20.3 yards per reception. For the 2018 campaign, the redshirt junior posted a 35-670-5 receiving line. Because Auburn's passing offense was such that it never truly showcased Slayton's talents on a game-in, game-out basis, the draft evaluation process figures to be all the more important for the wideout. Auburn redshirt junior WR Darius Slayton caught three passes for 160 yards with three scores in a 63-14 blowout of Purdue on Friday in the Music City Bowl.

Slayton (6'2/190) did all of his damage in the first half, as Auburn scored a bowl-record 56 points in the first half against the Boilermakers. He opened the game with a 66-yarder from Jarrett Stidham to make it 7-0, and he also scored from 74-yards out and 52-yards, respectively. It's a strong end to what was a disappointing season for the 6-foot-2, 190-pound wideout, but it shows that he's capable of making big plays. Look for more of those in his senior season -- assuming he doesn't enter the NFL Draft.

Auburn redshirt junior WR Darius Slayton caught two passes for 63 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 52-21 loss to Alabama.

Slayton (6'2/190) registered the vast bulk of his receiving yardage on a 52-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter. Auburn would not score again from that point onward. For the campaign, now, the redshirt junior has caught 32 passes for 510 yards and two touchdowns. The Tigers wrap their regular-season campaign with a disappointing 7-5 record and will await their bowl assignment upcoming.

Auburn redshirt junior WR Darius Slayton picked up 107 yards receiving on eight catches in a 28-24 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday.

A very strong game for Slayton, who was targeted early and often by Jarrett Stidham. He had just eight catches combined in the last three games, so it's nice to see the talented junior have a big game after his "struggles" in October. We'll see if he can build on this against the tough Georgia defense next Saturday.

Auburn redshirt junior WR Darius Slayton brought in five passes for 90 yards in a 24-13 victory over Southern Mississippi on Saturday.

Slayton has battled injuries and not been a big part of the passing game in the 2018 season so far, but he had a breakout game against the Golden Eagles on Saturday. He was clearly Auburn's top target, and while he didn't score, he helped move the chains enough to upset the Conference USA club. Look for Slayton to get a similar amount of targets next Saturday against Mississippi State.

Auburn redshirt junior WR Darius Slayton has been clocked by the school at 4.35 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Slayton had the fifth-best yards-per-catch in the nation last season with 29 receptions for 643 yards (22.2) and 5 touchdowns. A true field-stretcher, Slayton uses his speed as a means to "win" as a receiver. If he and QB Jarrett Stidham can develop a little more rapport, Slayton could be in for a big 2018.

Auburn redshirt sophomore WR Darius Slayton caught four passes for 146 yards and a touchcdown in a 52-20 route of Arkansas on Saturday.

The 146 yards for Slayton (6'2/191) almost equal his season total of 156 coming into the game. Needless to say, this was a pleasant surprise for the Tigers. QB Jarrett Stidham found him for a 62-yard strike in the third quarter to give Auburn a 38-6 lead. We'll see if he's a part of the offense again in two weeks against Texas A&M.

Auburn redshirt sophomore WR Darius Slayton (undisclosed) is expected to be able to play in Saturday's game against Missouri.

Slayton (6'2/191) was injured in the season-opener against Georgia Southern. He saw a limited number of snaps against Clemson in Week 2 and did not play at all against Mercer this past weekend. Full steam ahead, now, it would appear. In minimal action this year, Slayton has caught three passes for 43 yards.

Auburn redshirt sophomore WR Darius Slayton (undisclosed) will not play against Mercer on Saturday.

The Tigers have a number of options at wide receiver and Slayton's loss doesn't figure to take away from their game plan. He's caught three passes for 43 yards this season. Just when Slayton will be able to play again is unclear.

Auburn OC Chip Lindsey singled out redshirt sophomore WR Darius Slayton as a top performer at his position in camp.

Linsey said that Slayton and Ryan Davis have been the two standout performers at wideout this month. For his part, the 6-foot-2, 191-pound Slayton is Auburn's top returning receiver after catching 15 passes for 292 yards and a touchdown last season. He is expected to start at the "9" position in the receiving corp ahead of Nate Craig-Myers, though both players are going to see their fair share of offensive snaps.

Auburn redshirt sophomore WR Darius Slayton (hernia) is back to practicing at full speed.

Remarkable healing powers by young Mr. Slayton. He had been expected to miss the entirety of spring practice after undergoing surgery to repair a hernia at the end of February. He was (for the most part) a non-participant over the first two weeks of that practice, but returned to action in earnest this week following the school's spring break. "We didn't just throw him in and let him go; we tried to be strategic and smart about it, but he got quite a few reps, and each practice we'll bring him a little more along," said HC Gus Malzahn. During the past campaign, the 6-foot-2, 191-pounder notched a 15-292-1 receiving line. Playing in a thin receiving corp with a shiny new transfer quarterback in Jarrett Stidham, Slayton is a prime candidate to receive a potentially significant statistical bump during the coming campaign.
