Wisconsin junior RT David Edwards (left arm) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Minnesota due to a left arm injury.
Edwards managed to play through the injury, which was suffered during fall camp, for most of the season prior to his missing Wisconsin's Nov. 17 win over Purdue. With the junior set to miss his second consecutive game, redshirt freshman Logan Bruss will make the start at right tackle. Nov 23 - 3:07 PM

Wisconsin junior T David Edwards (left arm) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against Purdue.

Wisconsin still lists Edwards as the starting right tackle on its updated depth chart. Redshirt freshman Logan Bruss will draw the start if he can't go.

The Draft Network's Kyle Crabbs selects Wisconsin junior T David Edwards as the perfect player to pair with Jets QB Sam Darnold.

This is an excellent exercise that is well worth reading in the link below. Crabbs picks Edwards over a player like Alabama's Jonah Williams because the Jets have a huge need at right tackle; a position Edwards is well-built for. "Edwards is different from [current starter Brandon] Shell in that he can actually move and is a great functional athlete who has upside as a starter in the NFL," writes Crabbs. "With Darnold suffering from a lot of pressure in recent weeks, the Jets need to take keeping him upright seriously to keep him progressing in the right direction."

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline has Wisconsin junior T David Edwards being selected at pick No. 7 in his latest top-10 mock draft.

Pauline has talked with multiple scouts around the league and said "Everything I heard all summer, and news which I reported, told me area scouts believe Edwards is a top-15 pick. Edwards is what teams want in a tackle today: big, strong, athletic and versatile." Pauline isn't as high on him as those scouts and has Edwards stamped with a late-first round grade. With a strong 2018 season, Edwards will end up as a first-round selection with the upside to be picked inside the top 10.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline grades Wisconsin junior T David Edwards as the top draft prospect on the Badgers' roster.

Pauline notes that there's a lot of "positive chatter" about Edwards right now. We can confirm, as we've seen the 6-foot-7, 300-pound tackle consistently listed by analysts as a potential first-round prospect. "The junior is big, strong and polished in all areas of the position," writes Pauline. "Fundamentally sound, he’s very effective with his hands, easily rides defenders from their angle of attack in pass protection or removes them from the action on running downs." He notes that they've stamped him firmly with a late-first grade, but notes that he can improve that grade with strong play in 2018. We'll definitely be watching.

Wisconsin redshirt junior T David Edwards (abdomen) will miss the remainder of spring practice.

Edwards (6'7/300) was considering a jump for the NFL Draft in December, but ultimately opted to return to his Badgers brethren. There's no immediate timetable for his return from his current abdominal injury, but unless the school indicates otherwise, we're going to work on the assumption that the redshirt junior will be ready to roll for August camp. He's expected to start at right tackle so long as he's healthy. This past season, Edwards -- a converted tight end -- took part in a whopping 95% of Wisconsin's offensive snaps.

Wisconsin redshirt sophomore T David Edwards plans to return to school for the 2018 season rather than turn pro.

Edwards arguably was Wisconsin's top offensive lineman this season, combining top performances as both a run blocker and pass protector. Edwards played quite a bit last season, but he entered this year as the top starter at right tackle and stayed on the field for 95 percent of the school's snaps. Edwards moved from tight end to tackle right before last year.

Wisconsin sophomore T David Edwards is the projected starter at left tackle.

Edwards would take Ryan Ramczyk's old post after Ramczyk bypassed his senior year to enter the NFL. The 6-foot-7 Edwards was a tight end as recently as last spring but started the last seven games of 2016 at right tackle.
