Pro Football Focus assigned Arkansas senior G Hjalte Froholdt a grade of 85.3 for the 2017 season.
Froholdt (6'5/315) graded out as PFF's top returning guard in the Power 5 ranks. The senior lineman received all sorts of fun accolades at the end of the most recent season, including first-team All-SEC recognition from PFF and third-team conference recognition from Phil Steele. He started all 12 games at left guard last year, including eight contests in which he was on the field for every single offensive snap. Froholdt is arguably the top draft-eligible guard prospect in the 2019 pool. Jul 4 - 1:48 PM

Date: draft analyst Chad Reuter ranks Arkansas G Hjalte Froholdt as the top guard to watch in college football in 2018.

Froholdt is one of two guards that make the top 50, with Froholdt ranking 45th, and Florida's Martez Ivy ranking 48th. "Scouts are going to like what they see from Froholdt when they turn on his tape," Reuter writes. "He's mobile, strong and tough, not unlike former teammate and 2018 first-round pick Frank Ragnow." This is not a Quenton Nelson situation, but keep in mind Nelson wasn't considered a potential top 10 pick coming into 2018. Froholdt could easily go in the first 32 picks next year if he plays up to his level in 2018.

ESPN's Edward Aschoff calls Arkansas junior OG Hjalte Froholdt one of the SEC's most improved players this spring.

Froholdt's star is really rising. The Denmark native only shifted to offense from the defensive line last spring. He started all 13 games at left guard last year and figures to be one of the SEC's best offensive linemen this fall.
