Notre Dame junior WR Miles Boykin caught four passes for 84 yards with a touchdown in a 19-14 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Boykin (6'4/228) had a quiet game for most of the afternoon, and couldn't come up with a pass on a two-point conversion late in the game. He certainly redeemed himself, catching a 35-yard touchdown from Ian Book to give the Irish the 19-14 lead and the win. The big wideout has come on strong since Ian Book took over, and hes scored in three straight games. He'll look to find the end zone again in two weeks when Notre Dame faces Navy. Oct 13 - 5:55 PM

Notre Dame junior WR Miles Boykin caught eight passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 45-23 drubbing of Virginia Tech.

Boykin (6'4/228) has come on strong since Ian Book took over for Brandon Wimbush at quarterback several weekends ago. He's now notched back-to-back 100-yard efforts, this after managing just one such showing through the first four games of the campaign. On Saturday, he scored a 40-yard touchdown on a nice catch-and-run down the left sideline in the third quarter before polishing off his scoring with an easy five-yard score early in the fourth quarter. The Notre Dame offense is simply running at a different level now that Book is in at quarterback and RB Dexter Williams is back from suspension. They'll look to improve to 7-0 when they take on Pitt next weekend. Following that one, they'll have contests against Navy, Northwestern, Florida State, Syracuse and USC to close out the season. That's the road the Fighting Irish will be navigating as they try for a Playoff berth.

Draft Network's Brad Kelly writes that Notre Dame junior WR Miles Boykin possesses "strong, natural hands that allows him to pluck passes out of the air at full extension."

"Numerous times [in Saturday's win over Stanford], he adjusted to balls thrown slightly behind or ahead of him with ease, always extending towards the catch point," Kelly notes, referring to Boykin as "look[ing] the part of a possession receiver at the next level." The 6-foot-4, 228-pounder -- now freed from the shackles of QB Brandon Wimbush -- went off to grab 11 passes for 144 yards versus the Cardinal this past weekend. Concluded the analyst, "His size limits his burst after the catch, but few receivers have his combination of strength and ball skills upon entering the NFL draft."
Oct 4 - 6:10 PM

Notre Dame junior WR Miles Boykin brought in 11 receptions for 144 yards in a 38-17 blowout of Stanford on Saturday.

The Cardinal secondary kept playing off-coverage on Boykin and the Notre Dame receivers. Ian Book and Boykin didn't mind. He converted several first downs, and he gave the Irish a 31-17 lead on an eight-yard strike from Ian Book in the middle of the fourth quarter. That's the first score of the season for the junior wideout, and we don't think it's the last. He'll try and add to the total next Saturday against Virginia Tech.
Sep 29 - 11:10 PM

Notre Dame junior WR Miles Boykin snared six passes for 119 yards on Saturday in a 24-16 victory over Ball State.

Boykin was quarterback Brandon Wimbush's go-to target -- again -- and even with Wimbush struggling with bad decisions and accuracy, the wideout was able to have a big day. He had a long catch of 27 yards, and he helped move the chains to keep Notre Dame from being upset. The quarterback situation is shaky, but Boykin looks legit. He could have a big game next Saturday against Vanderbilt.
Sep 8 - 7:26 PM

Notre Dame junior WR Miles Boykin hauled in three passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in a 21-17 victory in the Citrus Bowl over LSU on Monday.

Boykin's touchdown was the game-winner, and it was a spectacular one-handed 55-yard grab from Ian Book where he made a couple of LSU defenders miss after the catch. Boykin (6'4/225) has the speed and size to be a playmaker, but Notre Dame's passing game just never got it going. If Book or fellow quarterback Brandon Wimbush can show more consistency throwing the football, Boykin could be a breakout player to watch for in 2018.
Jan 1 - 4:29 PM

Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly referred to junior WR Miles Boykin as "very sneaky."

"He eats up a lot of ground with those long strides, and before you know it he’s running past people," Kelly said. The coach noted back in early April that the 6-foot-4, 225-pounder was having a "really good spring." He showed at the team's spring game, too, with's Greg Flammang writing that Boykin "made a number of nice receptions, all against the starting defense, and caught the ball very well." We heard breakout hype for Boykin last offseason, too, but he was unable to make good on it in 2016, finishing with just six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown.
