ESPN's David Hale lists NC State senior defensive end Darian Roseboro as a player that can help replace the loss of edge-rusher Bradley Chubb.
Roseboro was a player that some analysts believed could leave early after his 2017 campaign, but he'll be back in 2018 to try and help the Wolfpack replace the impressive production of Chubb. He didn't have huge numbers last year, but he did have seven sacks as a sophomore, and more playing time should help him come close to those numbers again in 2018. As Hale says: "Roseboro turned down an opportunity to leave early for the NFL draft, and all eyes will be on him to become an every-down pass-rusher now that he has his opportunity." NC State junior DE Darian Roseboro will return to school for the 2018 season.

Roseboro (6'4/287) is probably making the right call, here, seeing as how NC State's entire defensive line -- Bradley Chubb, Kentavius Street, B.J. Hill and Justin Jones -- moving on from the Wolfpack. These losses put Roseboro in a prime position to start next season. Working as a rotational reserve piece this year, he registered 30 tackles (7.0 for loss), 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

ESPN's David M. Hale believes that NC State junior DE Darian Roseboro could notch double-digit sacks this coming season.

Hale notes that because of the overwhelming presence of fellow defensive end Bradley Chubb -- a potential first-rounder next spring -- Roseboro could become the statistical beneficiary. Wrote the analyst, "Double-digit sack totals are within reach, and it's possible that, given the double teams Chubb will command on one side of the line, Roseboro could end up with numbers good enough to lead the league." Last season, the 6-foot-4, 287-pounder registered 25 tackles (11 for loss) and seven sacks across 12 games played.
