The Athletic's Dane Brugler says "It shouldn’t surprise anyone when [UMass WR Andy Isabella] comes off the board much earlier than some of the bigger-name receiver prospects."
Brugler gives Isabella (5'10/190) credit for his "sudden speed" and ability to create before and after the catch. One of the top receivers based on their analytical profiles, Isabella recorded 705 yards on deep receptions in 2018, landing him "best deep-pass receiver" according to Pro Football Focus. The Day 2 prospect is a player to watch during the Reese's Senior Bowl. Jan 20 - 12:46 PM

Per Pro Football Focus UMass senior WR Andy Isabella recorded 705 yards on deep receptions this season.

PFF labels Isabella (5'10/190) as "the nation's best deep-pass receiver" this season and we won't disagree. On deep balls alone Isabella recorded 14 receptions for 705 yards and nine touchdowns. He will end the season with a full line of 102-1698-12. Isabella accepted his invite to the Reese's Senior Bowl and is a very intriguing draft prospect.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl.

What a sensational season it was for Isabella, who finishes the year with 102 catches for 1,698 yards while scoring 12 touchdowns. Much of this production came with the Minutemen down, but it doesn't' change the fact that the 5-foot-10, 190-pound wideout just seems to find a way to get open. Playing well in Mobile will be a big, big boost to his draft stock.

UMass senior Andy Isabella, Alabama sophomore Jerry Jeudy and Oklahoma State WR Tylan Wallace were named finalists for the Fred Biletnikoff Award.

The award goes to the top wide receiver. Isabella has been as good as any wideout in the country despite UMass only being 4-8 on the year, catching 102 passes for 1,698 yards and twelve scores. The award, of course, goes to the receiver deemed the top in college football.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught 15 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 66-27 loss to Georgia.

Isabella (5'10/190) just solidified himself as a legit NFL wide receiver prospect after going bonkers against Georgia's defense. The slot receiver broke free for 75 and 45-yard touchdowns in the second half, but the craziest part of this performance was the team's reliance on Isabella. The senior accounted for 76% of the team's receiving yards and 62.5% of the team's receptions! Since this was UMass' last game of the season, Isabella finishes his senior campaign with 101 receptions, 1,697 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns. If he's able to test well at the combine, Isabella will climb up draft boards.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught ten passes for 85 yards in Saturday's 35-16 loss to BYU.

BYU wasn't going to let Isabella (5'10/190) beat them after the slot receiver posted 303 yards and two touchdowns just last week. Isabella was still able to post a PPR-friendly 10 receptions, but the 85 yards will go down as a "down game" with the way Isabella has been playing this season. Pro Football Focus has graded Isabella as the No. 1 wide receiver of 2018, and they note he has picked up more first downs than any other receiver. NFL eyes will be all over Isabella next week with his toughest test of the season, Georgia, on deck.

Pro Football Focus grades UMass senior WR Andy Isabella as the top wide receiver through Week 10.

There have been some star performances at the position in 2018, but Isabella (5'10/190) has been the best in PFF's eyes with a grade of 92.7. He's coming off a 303-yard, two-touchdown performance last Saturday, but he's been good all year with 1,391 yards for the Minutemen. "He’s forced 13 missed tackles on his 75 receptions," writes PFF Steve Palazzolo, "and his 58 first downs or touchdowns leads the nation by seven over the next-closest receiver." He lacks ideal size, it's not hard to imagine a player of Isabella's size playing in the slot at the next level.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught nine passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 62-59 triple overtime win over Liberty.

That is as good as it gets folks. Isabella (5'10/190) started the game with an 89-yard touchdown, but he quickly added a 61-yard touchdown in the second quarter. In total, Isabella put up a career-high 303 receiving yards, which is just the 13th time a receiver in College Football Reference's database has eclipsed 300 yards. The senior receiver has elite production -- he has 1,393 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns through ten games -- and he may make some noise in the 2019 NFL Draft process if he is able to test well at the combine.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella brought in 10 passes for 170 yards in Saturday's 24-13 loss to Coastal Carolina.

Isabella has been on a roll the past three games, racking up 35 catches for 563 yards and four touchdowns. With the Minuteman constantly either in shootouts or facing negative game script, Isabella's had an ample amount of chances to fill the stat sheet each week. He will look to continue his tear against UConn next week.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella brought in 13 passes for 191 yards and a score in a 58-42 loss to South Florida on Saturday.

The Minutemen played three quarterbacks on Saturday, but it didn't matter who was under center, they were all looking Isabella's way, and for good reason. He's brought in 25 passes in the last two games, and he's gone over 190 yards in each with four touchdowns for good measure. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound senior's touchdown was a 53-yarder with three minutes left in the third quarter to make it 48-28 USF. Isabella and UMass get a bye before taking on Coastal Carolina on October 20.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught 12 passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 58-42 loss to Ohio.

The receptions, yards, and touchdowns were all single-game career-highs for Isabella. The senior has been among the nation's most productive receivers for two-and-a-half seasons now, but he's playing the best ball of his career right now. Isabella has at least 95 yards or a touchdown in every game this season and is on pace to shatter last year's 1,020 yards and ten touchdowns. Ford's favorite receiver will bring a monstrous 40-647-7 receiving line into next week's game against South Florida.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught six passes for 85 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 49-31 win over Charlotte.

Isabella (5'10/190) has been starting quarterback Andrew Ford's favorite receiver, but Ford was out with an undisclosed injury. Instead, Michael Curtis drew his first start but nothing changed for Isabella. The senior wide receiver was still the Minutemen's leading receiver. Through five games, Isabella is sitting pretty with a 28-449-4 receiving line. UMass plays a road game at Ohio next week.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught nine passes for 95 yards in Saturday's 34-13 loss to Georgia Southern.

Isabella accounted for 95 receiving yards for the second consecutive game, doing so on five more catches this week than he did in the Sept. 1 loss to Boston College. Andrew Ford's preferred target, Isabella's 11 targets were more than double the number of the next-best UMass players (Taylor Edwards and Marquis Young - five targets each). Isabella's going to continue to be Ford's top option moving forward.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught four passes for 95 yards in Saturday's 55-21 loss to Boston College.

He also recorded one carry for 14 yards. Isabella (5'10/190) was once again the team's leading receiver this week and continued to showcase his ability. It was a small step back from last week's 5-131-2 outing, but still strong nonetheless. With over 1,000 yards and ten touchdowns in 2017, Isabella is living up to his high expectations so far. He has a softer match up against Georgia Southern next week that should prove to be fruitful for the offense as a whole.

UMass senior WR Andy Isabella caught five passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 63-15 win over Duquesne.

Isabella (5'10/190) was the team's leading receiver last season, and he performed well in Saturday's win over the visiting Dukes. In addition to his work in the passing game Isabella also had a 14-yard touchdown run. Isabella finished the 2017 season with 65 receptions, 1,020 yards and ten touchdowns, and with last year's second-leading receiver Adam Breneman out of eligibility he sets up to once again be UMass' top pass-catching option.
