Auburn redshirt sophomore DE Nick Coe (undisclosed) recently underwent surgery.
Coe (6'5/270) should be considered doubtful for the Tigers' Music City Bowl showdown with Purdue on Dec. 28. The redshirt sophomore lineman was a standout performer in the spring and went on to log 26 tackles (13.5 for loss) and seven sacks in nine games played during the regular season. We'll keep an eye on this one up until kickoff. Thu, Dec 13, 2018 07:16:00 PM

ESPN's Alex Scarborough lists Auburn redshirt sophomore DE Nick Coe as the standout from their spring practices.

Coe was solid for the Tigers as a redshirt freshman, registering two sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss in his first year on the field with Auburn. "Coe, a former SEC All-Freshman player, took over A-Day with an MVP performance, providing another weapon on what could be the best line in the conference." Keep an eye on the 6-foot-5, 270-pound defender. He could be yet another star for the Auburn defense.

Auburn sophomore DE Marlon Davidson called redshirt freshman DE Nick Coe a "freak of nature."

"Like the real deal. I look at him like Myles Garrett. He can really do it all," Davidson said, adding, "It’s weird how long he’s came. He was just a little stick man coming in. Little, nothing. He grew a lot." The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Coe was a four-star recruit for the 2016 cycle, ranking as Rivals' No. 199 overall prospect in that class. He has packed on in the neighborhood of 30 pounds since he joined the Tigers weighing in at 240.
