Ohio State redshirt junior CB Damon Arnette will return to school in 2019.
As Bill Rabinowitz reports, this is a bit of a surprise, as Arnette was believed to be leaning towards entering the NFL Draft. Not that anyone associated with Ohio State is complaining. The Buckeyes defense struggled at times, but Arnette (6'0/195) was mostly solid, and he should help solidify the backend of the Ohio State defense in 2019. Jan 11 - 4:28 PM

Ohio State redshirt sophomore CB Damon Arnette (thigh bruise) is probably for Saturday's game against Illinois.

Ohio State redshirt sophomore CB Damon Arnette has been receiving first-team reps.

The Buckeyes are stocked to the gills with young, intriguing cornerbacks, but Ward has started to emerge as likely to start alongside the entrenched Denzel Ward. Playing as a redshirt freshman last season, the 6-foot, 194-pound Arnette recorded 21 tackles and an interception while appearing in all 13 of Ohio State's games. As you would probably expect given his program, Arnette was a four-star recruit coming out of high school as part of the 2015 class.
