North Carolina redshirt junior WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Ratliff-Williams (6'1/205) worked out to a 42-689-2 receiving line in 11 games during the 2018 campaign. He has a lot going for him that could be appealing for the pro ranks, including an ability to make contested catches as well as first-rate speed and acceleration attributes. The Draft Network's Joe Marino notes that the UNC product "wins with athletic ability, hands, ball skills and competitive toughness." He could stand to improve on his routes, but has plenty of upside regardless. Look for him to be part of the Day 2 conversation in the spring. Dec 4 - 3:55 PM

Starting QB Nathan Elliott was picked off four times on Saturday.

UNC redshirt junior WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams said that he is aiming to be "unstoppable."

"Just make plays no matter what time it is, no matter what play it is, no matter what the occasion is. Just step up and make plays for my teammates," Ratliff-Williams said. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound redshirt junior has performed admirably in two scrimmages this month as he looks to take the next step forward in his development after catching 35 passes for 630 yards and six touchdowns during the most recent campaign. He's also a dangerous return man on special teams. Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline currently grades Ratliff-Williams as a third-round prospect for the spring should he declare.

Draft Analyst’s Tony Pauline writes that UNC redshirt junior WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams is a "nice-sized wideout with dependable hands and big-play ability."

Pauline believes Ratliff-Williams has "shown the ability to take over games." The analyst points to UNC's showdown with NC State last year, when Ratliff-Williams caught five passes for 131 yards and a score. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound quarterback-turned-wide receiver also adds value as a returner for the Tar Heels. Pauline gave Ratliff-Williams a third-round grade, but also adds the junior has "terrific upside at his new position."

A quarter later, the sophomore wideout threw a 36-yard touchdown pass on a trick play to give the Tar Heels a 21-17 lead. The biggest score was the last, a four-yard touchdown that proved to be the winning score with 6:18 left in the game. Ratliff-Williams could have a big year next season if North Carolina can get the quarterback thing figured out. They get Western Carolina next week.

Ratliff-Williams briefly left the game with what looked like an upper-body injury, but he returned. With the Tar Heels struggling mightily to move the ball, that doesn't mean as much as it used to.

UNC redshirt sophomore WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams had five catches for 125 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 27-17 loss to Duke.

Ratliff-Williams' breakout game is something to pay attention to. In short order, he ascended to go-to status with Thomas Jackson out for the year, Dazz Newsome injured for this one, Austin Proehl knocked out with a broken collarbone on Saturday and Rontavius Groves carted off the field shortly thereafter. Ratliff-Williams (6'1/205), a converted quarterback, could be heavily targeted over the next few weeks if his friends remain in the trainer's room.

UNC redshirt sophomore WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams is listed as a starter next to seniors Austin Proehl and Thomas Jackson.

Ratliff-Williams (6'1/205) is a converted quarterback who was rated as the No. 19 dual-threat quarterback in the country by Rivals back in 2015. He appeared in all 13 games last year and caught three passes for 21 yards amidst a crowded receiving depth chart last fall. Ratliff-Williams has a prime opportunity to break out in 2017. "He’s come a long way …" HC Larry Fedora said of Ratliff-Williams. "I kind of relate him to Ryan Switzer. It took Ryan a while to understand the receiver position … now, you’re starting to see Anthony turn that corner on what it means to be a receiver."
