Kentucky senior LB Jordan Jones accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine game.
The 6-foot-2, 221-pound Jones "plays sideline to sideline," according to Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline, who stamped Jones with a fifth-round grade in September. Over the past three years, Jones has accrued 28.5 TFL, 7.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. He hasn't received as much ink as teammate Josh Allen, but Jones is an intriguing prospect in his own right. Superb testing will be important, because Jones' frame isn't getting any bigger. Thu, Nov 29, 2018 04:45:00 PM

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline writes that Kentucky senior LB Jordan Jones is an "underrated commodity" as a prospect.

Pauline notes that the 6-foot-2, 221-pound Jones "plays sideline to sideline." In his study of the senior linebacker, the analyst has observed that he possesses very nice coverage chops for his position. Medical checks will be important for his draft stock, as he's dealt with shoulder injuries -- he underwent surgery for one in April, and missed four games a year ago with a separate issue. Pauline stamps Jones with a fifth-round grade for the spring. Three games into the 2018 campaign, Jones has registered 16 tackles with four passes defended.

Kentucky senior LB Jordan Jones will undergo shoulder surgery.

While Jones was forced to sit for four games during the most recent campaign due to a shoulder injury, Kentucky HC Mark Stoops said that this new ailment sustained during practice on Thursday is not related to the previous one. The 6-foot-2, 221-pounder will miss the remainder of spring practice, now, with his availability for the start of August camp to be determined as the date nears. The hope is that Jones will be able to return to practice action in full with enough time to prepare for the season. During a healthy 2016 campaign, the linebacker registered a hearty 109 tackles (15.5 for loss), four sacks and four passes defended.

Kentucky junior LB Jordan Jones (shoulder) is not listed on the depth chart in advance of Saturday's game against Missouri.

Jones (6'2/221) injured his shoulder in a win over Eastern Kentucky during the second week of the season and has subsequently sat out the past three games. It remains unclear just when the junior linebacker will be healthy enough to suit up once more for the Wildcats, but Kentucky is off on bye after this weekend, which figures to help Jones' chances for their contest against Mississippi State on October 21.

Kentucky junior LB Jordan Jones (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against South Carolina.

Jones (6'2/221) dinged up his shoulder against Eastern Kentucky on Saturday. The injury is one which might keep the 2016 second-team All-SEC performer out beyond this weekend's showdown with the Gamecocks, as HC Mark Stoops said on Thursday, "It may be a stretch to play next week quite honestly. I’ll keep you updated. He’ll play when the doctors tell him he can play." Eli Brown will start in Jones' place against South Carolina.
