Recently dismissed Notre Dame WR Kevin Stepherson was arrested on Friday for the third time in two months.
Stepherson was charged with possession of marijuana, visiting a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia, according to WNDU. A month earlier, he was arrested for shoplifting, and the day before that he was charged with a marijuana possession, driving without a license and speeding. He was one of four Notre Dame players to be dismissed from the program earlier this month by head coach Brian Kelly. He made 19 catches for 359 yards and five touchdowns in his final season at Notre Dame. Mon, Jan 29, 2018 12:00:00 PM

Notre Dame dismissed four players, including junior WR Kevin Stepherson.

Stepherson has been in and out of trouble since stepping on campus, so his banishment isn't a surprise. The last straw came last month, when the Irish suspended Stepherson indefinitely following multiple arrests, including a shoplifting charge. Stepherson was also charged with marijuana possession prior to the 2016 season alongside teammates Max Redfield, Te’von Coney, Dexter Williams and Ashton White. If he can get his head screwed on straight, Stepherson could help most any team in the country. The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder had 19 catches for 359 yards and five touchdowns in 2017 despite missing a total of five games due to suspension.

Indefinitely suspended Notre Dame sophomore WR Kevin Stepherson was charged with marijuana possession, speeding and lack of a valid driver's license one day before he was cited for shoplifting.

Stepherson (6'1/185) was arrested for shoplifting from a Macy's department store last Friday. Turns out, just one day prior, he was hit with the above marijuana, speeding and license charges after being pulled over during a traffic stop. He was already on probation for a marijuana charge levied against him in August of 2016. While Notre Dame has not officially announced that Stepherson will sit for the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day, we would be surprised if that does not end up being the case. He's scheduled to appear in court for the new marijuana charge et al. come Feb. 20.

The indefinite suspension of Notre Dame sophomore WR Kevin Stepherson came in relation to a shoplifting case.

Stepherson -- who has caught 29 passes for 402 yards and two touchdowns this season -- got into hot water earlier this month for allegedly stealing a pair of sweatpants from a Macy's department store. Freshman RB C.J. Holmes was also accused of shoplifting in this case. The university have since hit both Stepherson and Holmes with indefinite suspensions, putting the pair's availability for the Citrus Bowl against LSU on New Year's Day into open question.

Notre Dame sophomore WR Kevin Stepherson was suspended indefinitely.

Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly announced the news on Wednesday. Backup freshman RB C.J. Holmes has also been hit with an indefinite suspension. We've not yet received word on the reason for the suspensions. Stepherson is the Irish's second-leading receiver with a 29-402-2 line. His status for the bowl game against LSU is very much in doubt.

Notre Dame sophomore WR Kevin Stepherson caught five passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 24-17 win over Navy.

With the Irish trailing 17-10 midway through the third quarter, Stepherson came through with a 30-yard touchdown grab to knot up the scoreboard. He would also hit the end zone with the go-ahead score when Brandon Wimbush found him from nine yards out with 11:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. This game was not only the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder's first 100-yard showing of the campaign, it was his first game this season in which he has topped 60 yards receiving.

Notre Dame sophomore WR Kevin Stepherson returned to practice this week.

Stepherson (6'1/185) has yet to make his 2017 debut for Notre Dame, as he's been suspended for an undisclosed reason. Irish HC Brian Kelly says that Stepherson will need to "earn" his way back into the field. With a serious lack of big-play options opposite Equanimeous St. Brown, Stepherson could be a welcome addition to the Notre Dame offense.
