Clemson received a verbal commitment from five-star 2019 WR Frank Ladson.
Ladson picks the Tigers over offers from a prolific list of high profile schools including Miami, Alabama and Auburn; just to name a select few. The 6-foot-4, 170-pound receiver ranks 14th overall on 247 Sports composite list of the top players in the 2019 class, and the third best wide receiver. He'll obviously need to fill out, but reports indicate that Ladson is a terrific athlete who can run, jump and catch with the best of them. It's just another in a long line of elite athletes to commit to Clemson at the position. Apr 14 - 1:15 PM

Uncommitted four-star 2019 WR Frank Ladson added Auburn to his list of intriguing schools.

Ladson (6'4/170) had ticked off Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, Miami and Alabama as the top dogs on his personal board near the end of January. They're all still in the mix, here, but he additionally added Auburn when asked once more for his leaders this month. Rivals' No. 46 overall prospect in the 2019 class, Ladson will be checking out Miami before March gives way to April and plans on soaking in the sights and sounds of Clemson's spring game next month. There's no concrete timetable for when he'll make his commitment. The Miami native offers a quick burst and slick acceleration on the field. He'll need to add weight over the next year-plus, but comes with a frame which has plenty of room for growth without sapping any of his athletic upside.
