Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.
Wesley put up monster numbers for the Red Raiders in 2019, catching 88 passes for 1,410 yards and nine scores. He's also listed at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, so that size is sure to intrigue scouts. The questions will come from the production in the Air Raid system, but that's no longer a prospect death sentence. A scouting report from The Draft Network also notes that he needs to show more lateral quickness, and his route-running can be inconsistent. In his tweet announcing his selection, he said he got positive reviews from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, so if Wesley tests well, he'll have a chance to be among the first wideouts selected; possibly even a first-round target because of his size and production. Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley caught eight passes for 171 yards with two touchdowns in a 41-34 loss to Texas on Saturday.

Ho hum. Wesley has now caught at least eight passes in four straight games, and five of six. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound reception machine also is up to nine touchdowns, and is well on his way to a 1,300 yard season. It comes in a losing effort, but Wesley once again showed why he's considered among the most intriguing wideouts in the country. It won't slow down next Saturday when the Red Raiders take on Kansas State.

Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley caught 12 passes for 199 yards in Saturday's 51-46 loss to Oklahoma.

Wesley (6'5/200) went over the 1,000 yard mark with another huge game. The junior receiver didn't even get the privilege of a full Alan Bowman game either, but it didn't slow him from his eclipsing 100 yards in three straight games. With 70 catches, 1,176 yards, and seven touchdowns, there are few receivers who can match his production. Wesley versus the Texas corners will be a fun matchup next week.

Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley had eight catches for 119 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 40-31 loss to Iowa State.

Once again, Wesley provided a reliable outlet for freshman QB Alan Bowman. It's just that this time, Bowman didn't get much more help than that. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Wesley now has a 58-975-7 line through eight games in a true breakout campaign.

The Draft Network's Jon Ledyard lists Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley as the top riser in his eyes from Week 5 after his performance against West Virginia.

Wesley has put up monster numbers in a couple of games this year, and really impressed during his 8/110/1 line in a close loss to the Mountaineers on Saturday. At 6-foot-5, 200-pounds, Wesley has the NFL size you're looking for, and he hasn't just been a product of the system -- at least not in Ledyard's eyes. As he also notes, he's just a junior, but in a not-so-great wide receiver class, he could be a player that could draw interest as an early entry.

Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley caught eight passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 42-34 loss to West Virginia.

Wesley (6'5/200) made noise early, finding the end zone on a 40-yard scoring toss in the closing minutes of the first quarter. West Virginia had already put 21 points on the board by that time. They never trailed in the contest. In his last three games, Wesley has now exploded for 469 yards receiving. He'll be off on bye next weekend, with a showdown against TCU showing next on the schedule after that.

Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley hauled in 13 passes for 261 yards and three scored in a 63-49 victory on Saturday over Houston.

What a monster game it was for the 6-foot-5, 200-pound Wesley. The Cougars' secondary had no answer for his size and ability to find seams, and freshman Alan Bowman found him early and often. The two connected for a 58-yarder in the first, with a six-yard strike coming a quarter later. He put the game out of reach on a 33-yard scoring pass from Bowman with 3:49 left in the fourth that made it 63-42. Wesley looks legit, and should have another big game against Oklahoma State next Saturday.

Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley caught four passes for 87 yards with one touchdown in Saturday's 77-0 win over Lamar.

Wesley (6'5/200) was too big for the Lamar secondary, as he led the Red Raiders in receiving yards. In the second quarter, Alan Bowman threw a short pass that Wesley took for a 66-yard touchdown after breaking a tackle. It was his first touchdown of his career and a good sign that he is healed up after offseason hip surgery. In this offense, any starter is capable of big numbers. That shouldn't change against Houston next week.

Texas Tech junior WR Antoine Wesley underwent surgery to repair a hip injury earlier in the spring.

"We’ve been told we’ll be ready for fall camp. He’ll be limited through the summer, but it’s kind of a progressive deal that we expect him to be full go by fall camp," said Red Raiders HC Kliff Kingsbury. Wesley (6'5/200) opened the spring competing to take the slot role previously held by Keke Coutee, but Texas Tech later made the inspired decision to move the junior to the outside, where his size will play up. He's held steady as a starter through that shift, though obviously his ongoing rehab could potentially throw a wrench into the depth chart if he's at some point hit with a setback. This past season, Wesley caught 10 passes for 137 yards. He's a prime candidate to see blossoming numbers upcoming so long as he can return to full health.
