Old Dominion senior edge-rusher Oshane Ximines accepted an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl.
Ximines has been one of the best players on the Old Dominion defense (admittedly not one of the more stout units in college football). Still, the edge-rusher has been cited for his speed off the edge and ability to get to the quarterback, and could see his stock rise if/when he performs well in the Senior Bowl against bookends. Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline lists Old Dominion senior edge-rusher Oshane Ximines as one of the players whose stock rose after his performance in Week 3.

This game won't be known as a defensive classic -- The Monarchs won 49-35 -- but it's tough to see Old Dominion winning this contest without Ximines' performances. He picked up two sacks, and he might have had more if he didn't have to leave for a bit with a foot issue. "Ximines plays explosive football and shows speed off the edge as well as the ability to quickly change direction and pursue plays from the back side," Pauline writes. "He’ll need good predraft workouts to cement a place in the draft’s second day, but I’d expect Ximines to receive an invite to both the Senior Bowl and Combine."

Old Dominion senior edge-rusher Oshane Ximines was dominant against Florida Atlantic on Sunday, picking up six tackles, two sacks and forcing two fumbles.

Have yourself a day, Oshane. The 6-foot-37, 247-pound edge-rusher was sensational against the Panthers on Saturday, consistently generating pressure against the FIU offensive line. The Monarchs have never had a player drafted, but assuming Oshines keeps this up -- relatively, of course -- and tests reasonably well, they'll have their first in 2019 in Ximines.
Sep 10 - 9:25 PM's Chad Reuter pegged Old Dominion redshirt senior LB Oshane Ximines as one of the top players to watch for the upcoming collegiate season.

On Reuter's list of 150 players, Ximines essentially landed in the middle of proceedings at No. 83. The 6-foot-3, 247-pounder was a first-team All-CUSA performer last season, when he registered 44 tackles (14.0 for loss), 8.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in 12 games. He has not missed a game during his active time with the Monarchs.
