Temple senior S Delvon Randall accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Randall (5'11/210) has been a big part of the Temple defense over the last three years, and he's intercepted 11 passes while also picking up 223 tackles since his sophomore season. He was graded a fourth-round talent by Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline coming into the year; noting his ability to make plays in the run game while also being a stout defender on the back end. There's a real chance he'll be a top 100 pick if he tests well. Mon, Dec 17, 2018 02:28:00 PM

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline gives Temple senior S Delvon Randall the top grade of any player on the Temple roster for 2018.

Randall gets a fourth-round grade from Pauline, which is lower than some analysts we've seen, but still suggests that the analyst sees potential in the safety. "Randall has excellent size, plays with an aggressive nature and is effective defending the run or covering the pass," he writes. "He’s more of a traditional strong safety type and comes with a special teams mentality." The 5-foot-11, 210-pound safety had 80 tackles and four interceptions in 2017, and if he's able to make plays in the pass and run game in 2018, he has a real shot of going in the first 100 picks -- if not higher.

In an early 2019 mock draft, The Sporting News' Eric Galko tagged Temple senior S Delvon Randall to the New England Patriots with the No. 32 selection.

That would have Randall just sneaking into Day 1 proceedings next springs. Writes Galko of the 6-foot-1, 215-pounder, "He has tremendous range and finishes with great ball skills and tackling ability in space." Both the ball skills and tackling prowess which Galko references are readily evident in Randall's statistical output. He's picked off four passes in each of the past two seasons and ended the most recent campaign having posted 80 tackles (6.5 for loss).
