Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden caught seven passes for 71 yards in Saturday's 52-17 win over Norfolk State.
Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) once again led the Flames in receiving, but it was the Liberty rushing attack that finished off drives for touchdowns, so AGG remains at 10 touchdowns on the year. The junior finished the regular season with 71 receptions and 1,037 yards, which makes him the only player in Flames history to post back-to-back seasons with 1,000 receiving yards. Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden caught eight passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 28-21 win over New Mexico State.

Gandy-Golden's (6'4/220) lone touchdown came from five yards out in the first quarter. He's now up to 10 scores on the year. He is also 34 yards shy of the 1,000-yard mark, a threshold he should cross next week against Norfolk State. The talented junior wideout will look to finish the regular season on a high note.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden caught nine passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 62-59 triple overtime loss to UMass.

Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) came up huge, but he couldn't pace UMass receiver Andy Isabella, who went for 303 receiving yards in a historic performance. The Flames have two options on offense right now: they either run the ball or throw it to AGG. The junior receiver accounted for 75 percent of the Flames' receiving yardage, which is unheard of even for a receiver as talented as Gandy-Golden. Just a few weeks removed from a scary illness, AGG looks poised to finish his junior season on a high note, but he gets a tough Virginia team next week.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden was given a false positive on his initial mono diagnosis.

Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) missed October 13th's game against Troy due to illness that was originally believed to be mono after medical testing. After going through a second round of tests a couple days later, doctors learned the first test was a false positive. As time progressed, Gandy-Golden began to feel better, which led to him being cleared for Saturday's game against Idaho State. In that game, the stud receiver caught two long touchdowns on his way to a 10-142-2 receiving line. It is an odd story, but the good news is Gandy-Golden is back to dominating on the field.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden rolled up 10 receptions for 142 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 48-41 shootout victory against Idaho State.

Gandy-Golden wasn't expected to play in this one due to illness, but it was Idaho State who was sick watching him running up and down the field and celebrating in the end zone twice. Yes, it was a performance against an FCS opponent, but the Bengals actually entered the day 4-2, so they were no slouch. Gandy-Golden and fellow junior QB Stephen Calvert have been a dangerous pass-catch combination, and they might just be scratching the surface together. Next up is a trip to UMass on Nov. 3 after the team's bye.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden (mono) will play in Saturday's game against Idaho State.

This according to Buckshot Calvert's father, Steve. Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) was ruled out earlier this week with mono, but he has apparently made a swift recovery to reverse that ruling. Gandy-Golden, the Flames' best player, leads the team with 32 receptions, 497 receiving yards and five touchdowns despite missing last week's game. He's a good-looking NFL prospect to monitor.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden (mono) is warming up and available to play in Saturday's game against Idaho State.

Unexpected development here, and great news for the Flames. Two days ago, Gandy-Golden was ruled out for the game. But perhaps he's made great strides in his recovery from mono in the past 48 hours. Gandy-Golden isn't out of the woods yet. He'll only play if warmups go well. Stay tuned.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden (mono) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Idaho State.

Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) will be missing his second consecutive contest now that he's officially been nixed for Saturday's showdown with the Bengals. The junior wideout's absence is a notable one for the Flames, as he's their best skill-position weapon, having compiled a 32-497-5 receiving line through the first five games of the season before coming down ill. B.J. Farrow stepped up with eight catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's win against Troy and should figure prominently in the game plan on Saturday with Gandy-Golden sidelined.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden (mononucleosis) was ruled out for Saturday’s game against Troy.

This is a huge loss for Liberty in a game they really wanted to show well in. Gandy-Golden, the Flames' best player, leads the team with 32 receptions, 497 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden posted 11 receptions for 245 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 52-43 victory at New Mexico.

Gandy-Golden etched his name into the Liberty record books, as his 245 receiving yards represent a school best. He opened the season with three touchdowns in the win against Old Dominion back on Sept. 1, but Gandy-Golden had managed just 14 grabs for 137 yards in his previous three games so not many saw this outburst coming. He'll look to keep up the good work in next weekend's road trip to New Mexico State.

Liberty junior WAR Antonio Gandy-Golden caught six passes for 53 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 52-10 win over Old Dominion.

Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) did not lead the Flames in receiving yardage during their FBS debut on Saturday -- that honor went to a brilliant DJ Stubbs (7-155-1) -- but the stud wideout made a huge impact in the end zone with his trio of touchdown grabs. In his final season of FCS play a year ago, Gandy-Golden logged a 69-1066-10 receiving line. It's tricky to project just what kind of season-long stats he'll be able to work out to in the FBS ranks, but his skill set very much translates, as evidenced by Saturday's performance.

Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden is currently sporting a cast following his being involved in a minor car accident.

Per Flames HC Turner Gill, Gandy-Golden is specifically dealing with a wrist injury. He's expected to be a limited participant in preseason camp while he rehabs from the injury concern, but Gill expressed optimism that he would be ready for Liberty's opener against Old Dominion on Sept. 1. "Think he's going to be fine," said the coach. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound junior posted a 69-1066-10 receiving line last season. He'll be leveling up to FBS ball for the coming campaign.

Athlon Sports ranked Liberty junior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden as the No. 48 receiver in the FBS for the 2018 season.

Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) caught 69 passes for 1,066 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He did so plying his trade at the FCS level. Seat upgrade to the FBS for Mr. Gandy-Golden moving forward. The junior tortured Baylor to the tune of a 13-192-2 receiving line in their opening upset of the Bears last fall. Liberty will begin its journey as an Independent when they boot up against Old Dominion on Sept. 1.
