Mississippi State senior C Elgton Jenkins accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl.
Jenkins (6'4/311) had some issues with better competition this year, but also is still ranked among the top centers in the country by draft analysts. He was considered a Day 2 prospect coming into the year, and because of his versatility -- he's also played tackle for the Bulldogs -- he should see added interest from scouts as well. Playing well in the practices and games against better competition will be big for the senior center. Nov 26 - 6:22 PM

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline lists Mississippi State senior OL Elgton Jenkins as his slider after his performance on Saturday against Alabama.

Pauline gets straight to it: Jenkins (6'4/311) had absolutely no shot against Quinnen Williams on Saturday. To be fair, no one has had a chance to block Williams; he's been arguably the best player in college football this year. Still, a player that has received top 100 talk -- Pauline had him as a Round 3 candidate this summer -- being beaten this badly isn't going to sit well with scouts who watched, and they were assuredly watching.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline writes that Mississippi State redshirt senior OL Elgton Jenkins is "a tough, versatile blocker who can line up at center and guard."

"[Jenkins] offers good size, growth potential and excellent movement skills," Pauline notes, adding that the 6-foot-4, 311-pound redshirt senior "slugs it out with bigger linemen up front and also shows ability blocking in motion." The Rimington Trophy watch-lister receives a draft grade for Round 3 from Pauline's outlet.
