Colorado senior S Evan Worthington accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game.
Worthington (6'2/210) only managed to appear in nine games during the campaign due to injury concerns, but recorded 41 tackles with four passes defended and one interception when he did manage to take the field. He picked off three passes a year ago. The Draft Network's Benjamin Solack notes that the CU senior "has the explosiveness and length to close and affect the catch point." Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline, for one, described himself as "cool" on Worthington's pro prospects back in September, writing that he is "a bit one-dimensional and primarily a downhill run defender with average ball skills." Pauline hits him up with a sixth-round grade for the spring. Thu, Dec 13, 2018 06:05:00 PM

Colorado senior S Evan Worthington (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against Washington State.

Worthington (6'2/210), who suffered the concussion during Colorado's Oct. 27 loss to Oregon State, will miss a second consecutive game. One of Colorado's best draft-eligible prospects, the senior safety has accounted for 34 total tackles and one interception this season. Sophomore Derrion Wakestraw is listed as the starter at strong safety on the team depth chart.

Colorado senior S Evan Worthington is in the concussion protocol.

Worthington suffered the concussion during Saturday's loss to Oregon State. He's viewed as one of the better draft prospects on the Buffaloes' defense, and he would be a big loss for a secondary that's been struggling. We should know more about his availability as the week progresses.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline notes that he's "a little cool" on Colorado senior S Evan Worthington.

"Worthington comes with nice size (at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds) but is a bit one-dimensional and primarily a downhill run defender with average ball skills," Pauline writes. The analyst does acknowledge that there are some corners of the scouting community which are more effusive in their praise of the senior safety. Pauline assigns Worthington a Round 6 grade for the spring draft.
