Gaillard has been banged up recently, as he left Georgia's November 3 win at Kentucky during the first half due to a knee injury. The senior center is Georgia's most experienced offensive lineman, so if he were to miss time that would have a significant impact on the team's front five. Gaillard (6'2/308), Georgia's most experienced offensive lineman, went down in the first half of the Nov. 3 win at Kentucky with what was diagnosed as a hyperextended left knee. The redshirt senior's status for Georgia's Nov. 10 game against Auburn is a major storyline to keep track of due to the Bulldogs having already been hit hard by injuries on the offensive line.

Georgia redshirt senior Lamont Gaillard (knee) left Saturday's game at Kentucky with an apparent left knee injury.

Gaillard was taken to the team's injury tent after suffering the injury, and he emerged with his left knee heavily wrapped in tape. The redshirt senior, Georgia's most experienced offensive lineman, was riding an exercise bike in an attempt to loosed up after getting taped. True freshman Trey Hill replaced Gaillard in the Georgia lineup.

NFL Draft Scout's Rob Rang lists Georgia redshirt senior C Lamont Gaillard as one of his risers for his play in Week 9 against Florida.

The Bulldogs wanted to run the football on Saturday, and run the football they did; often behind Gaillard (6'2/308). "Gaillard’s lack of prototypical height is actually an advantage for him as easily wins the leverage battle and possesses the suddenness and stocky strength to create movement," Rang writes while showing a clip of him mauling a defensive tackle that you can see in the link below.
