The Draft Network's Joe Marino believes that Delaware senior S Nasir Adderley is a first-round prospect on tape.
Adderley could be the latest FCS prospect to go to in the first-round, and it's worth mentioning that Kyle Crabbs -- also of The Draft Network -- mocked the senior safety to the Seahawks with pick 23. Marino does note that Adderley doesn't have much tape of man-coverage, but he should get a chance to show that off at the NFLPA Bowl and the Senior Bowl. "[Adderley's] football IQ, combined with outstanding play speed and controlled aggression lay the foundation for Adderely [sic] to be a highly productive starting NFL safety," Marino writes. "He should be a high-impact, playmaking starter that is among the pillars of an NFL defense." Jan 5 - 4:25 PM

The Draft Network's Kyle Crabbs mocked Delaware senior S Nasir Adderley to the Seattle Seahawks as the No. 23 overall pick.

Adderley (6'0/200) is this year's small school darling who is emerging as a potential first-round pick. The Delaware senior has been touted by the Athletic's Dane Brugler all season long, and the Draft Network agrees with the positive buzz. Adderley will be participating in the Reese's Senior Bowl and in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl before draft night where he's expected to be a Day 1 or Day 2 pick.

Delaware senior S Nasir Adderley accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Adderley (6'0/200) also is going to be playing in the Senior Bowl. It's not unheard of for seniors to play in multiple events, and it's especially common with small-school prospects. Delaware qualifies, and Adderley will get a chance to get multiple looks from scouts against the all-star competition.

Delaware senior S Nasir Adderley accepted an invitation to the Reese's Senior Bowl.

Adderley (6'0/200) is considered not just one of the best defensive backs in the FCS, but one of the best prospects in the lower ranks overall. While he plays safety for the Blue Hens, there are some who believe he has the quickness to be a cornerback at the next level. He could be the ideal nickel back because of his quickness and ball skills, and he's viewed by most analysts as a Day 2 prospect at this point. The Senior Bowl will be an excellent chance to either stabilize or improve that stock.
